i think everyone who sees these pics will know at first sight that the Action Track is back. you did a great job capturing the feel of the event & even still photos are exciting to see. the only thing you missed was my pretty face in victory lane giving Robert his nice HARF shirt. i'm glad you got such a great shot of the trophy, i was trying to describe it to someone, and its hard to put into words how cool it was, definitely 1 of a kind. keep up the great job, beautiful photo work. bob.

anyone show up to watch?? from the pix, the crowd looks pretty sparse but, perhaps they were taken early in the event. i did listen to it and the last few laps sounded pretty exciting. hope it was a successful event.

It wasn't bad, the stands were probably half full. But for being a postponed race and what everyone thought about the last promoter, maybe they were waiting to see if it had changed.

Thanks for the response. I hope the promotors made some money!

The event had to be a success. The crowd was very good, probably better than expected. Big stands and they were probably half or more occuppied and the infield had a very large crowd. The big thing is fans were treated to a great day of racing and entertainment. The infield pits were great and the fans could see the drivers, cars and crews. The drivers were available for pictures and awards in front of the fans as the racing progressed. From my standpoint THAT and MSCS hit a homerun.

Great to see Don Smith's smiling face at the race track again!:respect:

And I love the whole infield pit thing....:applaud:

Some Great Pics of a Great Day for The Action Track!...... however, I must correct you...... That Water Truck Guy is not Wolfe-e...... Why the Wolfe-e I know is at least 20 years younger and 20 lbs lighter than this guy..... Imposter, I;d say...... Happens all the time..... Some Johnny come way to lately, tryen to hitch hike on to all that Wolfe-e Fame and Fortune.... ha.......... Thanks for the Pics..... I hope the Show was a good for you as it was for me.... I know there was room for improvement but it sure was Great to see Racing Back at The Track and that finish was worth the wait....... Great Job to Ballou, Hockett and Short... not to mention that Damion was flat eaten the wall in turns 3 and 4 trying to catch them.. The track was black from top to bottom all the way around....... they used it all..... Wolfe-e

I just wanted to get these pics back on the front page and to thank you for them... Great Shots and I;d like to have a few of them as well. No, not of the guy in the water truck. All those Great Shots of the Pits and the one shot of all the cars racing out of the dust on the Front Stretch. Great Shot and it caught the mood of the day.. Hey, my GrandKids loved it and if you can make that connection with all the racing history of the past, well it just has to be Great.... Thanks again and I hope to see more from the next show, The Tony Hulman Classic.
Forgive me Lord, for I know that loving this stuff this much, well its just gotta to be a sin......wanna race..........Wolfe-e

Hey Wolf-e,

I think the guy on the water truck aged about 20 years in the last few weeks working his a** off helping get the track in shape and ready to race...

I just can't figure out how he gained the twenty pounds as hard as he was working...:rolling

Thanks again for all you have done to help bring racing back to THAT.
