Driver needed..Dodge City & Grain Valley

A change has occured at Hoffman Auto Racing. Kyle Larson will be in the HAR 69 at Oskaloosa Tuesday night. Kyle has previous commitments for this weekend so they are seeking a driver for the Fri., Sat. show at Dodge City and also Sun. at Grain Valley. Contact Richard Hoffman at 513-575-7269.

Total BS. I have absolutely no respect for the Hoffman's after tossing 2 drivers in one year. Jerry landed on his feet and hopefully Daron can too.

Youre talking like you know the inner workings of what happened between the two drivers. IMO its pretty disrespectful of you to GUESS what is going on and throw the blame directly on the Hoffmans.

I hate to see it to but you need to bring home more of these :22: and try to keep the flip nights to a minimum. This obviously isn't the same in both cases here though with the two drivers.

at least 3 chassis brands and 2 drivers in less than a year......chassis just dont stop working and drivers dont forget how to race overnight........
larson is stepping into a hornets nest.

Midget18 8/8/11 4:08 PM

how about Joe Liguori, good young talent looking for a break. He has shown a lot of improvement so far this year

Well, I would imagine that this will be the test for HAR. If Kyle goes backwards and doesn't run upfront with his hair on fire, given how Kyle has run of late, you all will have your answer.....IMO

Oh wow, Lets bash a team that pays all the bills and GIVES someone a ride. to which they give 40 percent of the take (Not sure) to the driver.

Nobody but the driver and owners know whats going on.

Personally, I feel bad for both parties and wish them best of luck.

Gotta get a suit and a Bob Kinser seat but I'll drive it :) LOL

There are also a ton of drivers, most local I'd love to see get a shot.

But the name I'll throw out and don't know if he'd be interested.

Buckwalter.

I can only guess you're refering to the Wilkes, Chuck? That one didn't make alot of sense either!
Hell, I'm still pissed at them for firing Kevin Doty....

Nothing against Daron at all, but with the history Chuck noted above, you know Rob and Richard are wanting results now.
I'm guessing too many crashes in such a short time together. Who saw that coming....

Re: Driver needed..Dodge City & Grain Valley

What's wrong guys? Slow week and nothing better to complain about? Is Hoffman's the only car to have more than two drivers in it this year. Why didn't you say crap about those rides? I doubt Jerry and Daron were promised anything they didn't get. It's not like they switched to the same style driver. I don't care if they have a different driver every night. I don't care if they pick a name out of a hat. I am just thankful with the dreadful season and the economy they have not kept the car in the shop and said heck with it. I guess all the track prep was good this week and no one stole anyone's seat so we have to jump on this topic to complain.

I Indirectly mentioned Wilke/Pak in my reply and the same with Jerry Coons Jr.
I am a fan of both as well and I removed that

I Should follow my own advice and not comment on what I do not know what happened.

I apologize to the Coon's and Wilke/Pak.

Hope this is enough.

This is a tough business... Car Owners want to give the best equipment they can and have a chance to win. Hired Drivers want to do their best to keep their ride and be successful. Sometimes both try too hard and it makes for a difficult situation. I wish them both well. DC, it won't be long until you are slinging dirt again...

I was thinking MDC did win 3 or 4 races for the hoffmans. This lasted a lot shorter than I thought it would. Best of luck to daron and to HAR

Call Jeff Bland Jr..... I am sure he still knows how to wheel a sprint car:6:

Jerry Shaw 8/8/11 6:31 PM

Re: Driver needed..Dodge City & Grain Valley

After some of his performances in Sprint Week, if I were them, Chad Boespflug would definitely be on my short list. He was in the mix most every night and time after time, battled back each time he would have a set back. He's always been one of the top "gets the most out of his equipment" drivers in this racing scene. Or how about the guy that was one yellow flag away from winning the Mopar Million for them? That guy can still drive, too.

Jerry

RaceFan01 8/8/11 6:51 PM

Re: Driver needed..Dodge City & Grain Valley

I agree on Chad Boespflug to fill the seat. He has been easy on equipment this year and consistant. He is a gasser that needs a break like this.

c47 8/8/11 7:04 PM

Re: Driver needed..Dodge City & Grain Valley

no one is dominating this year......its been very competitive amongst the top drivers and teams.
does that make the teams that are use to winning 10 or more races a year feel like they are doing something wrong? probably.
if it were one and two teams....we could say they were struggling but its not.....the competition has gotten so good that "close enough" wont win races anymore.....everything has to be dead nuts on and the driver has to have a perfect night....and even then, it might not happen.
i just hope that the teams that are use to winning more dont start pointing fingers and blaming. that could ruin a lot of good, solid teams and relationships.

Like anybody thought this relationship was going to last long? Lasted longer than I thought it would.

I like watching DC race but he sure is tough on equipment.

I would like to see Lil' Shu in that car for a couple races.

After the crash Last night I don't think even they can afford him.... specially when you have to pay him and fix a tore up race car every other race
