HEWITT CLASSIC...roll call!
 

This coming Saturday night August 6th, is the 3rd Annual Jack Hewitt Classic at Waynesfield Raceway Park!!! :23:

This a 'roll call' for drivers planning to attack WRPs 1/3mile bullring, and IOW members planning to watch the dog fight!

I will be in attendance for sure!!

Plan on making my 1st trip to Waynesfield for this one

After a long trip for a great visit with my dad and the race at haubstadt, I will be staying close to home and going to westfall raceway park for the hewitt

highly recommend it, went last year n it was awesome. i seriously dobt if anyone'll have anything for justin grant though , that kid is on a roll!

I think it will be a good show between Westfall and Grant. Grant is on a roll but Westfall knows the track very very well. I could see Todd Keen up there mixing it up with them too and Hendrick if he shows.

It should be a 'typical' night at WRP, 2-3 wide non-wing war :6:

Matt has the place figured out, and Justin is a hammer down 'gasser', but Kyle Simon and Todd Keen squirt around on the bottom and keep the guys on top honest!.........mix in all of the other drivers, and it will be one hell of a race, with a great payout for the entire field. :8:

Is T-Mez confirmed as well?

T-Mez will be there in the SC Racing #9x. Gassin it up on the top I'm sure.

Last time I checked JG has 0 wins @ waynesfield and westfall has a bunch. I'd say westfall, T-Mez and Hendricks could teach a thing or 2.

Anyone know if Stanbrough is going?

Stanbrough will be at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska Saturday, racing with all the other USAC guys.

Also, last time I checked, until last weekend Justin Grant had never won at Eldora and Kokomo, either. Or North Vernon before last month. I wouldn't bet against that guy, right now.

Plus the BOSS show at KC Raceway. And he had them half tracked at Lawrenceburg when a tire went flat.........

First time going to Waynesfield. Does anyone know what the cooler policy is or do they sell beer there? Not much of a racing question I know, but still important to some of us. : )

No Glass, Bring own beer, Really don't know about the size of cooler. Mine is about 8 to 10 cans.

We're bad luck....it rained there two weeks ago, and then last week the only place it rained was over Lawrenceburg. The one place it doesn't rain is at our house, where we need it the most.

Haven't been running at Lawrenceburg. Qualified for the Hewitt Classic with a win at Gas City. Most Saturday nights we've been going to Putnamville. Will you be at Waynesfield tonight?

Did rain a little but not much. The sun is out & I'm confident that we will get it in. & from checking the National weather I see nothing coming from Ill. at this time (12:05).

There is a break in possible rain right now. Most rain in northern and southern ohio.

Nick Bilbee will be there, I can confirm this since I am in the truck pulling the hauler in route to there

Looks like rain is supposed to hit the area around 3:30 and continue for the rest of the afternoon and into the evening. I think we're going to pass on this one and hope for dry weather next weekend.

I'm not a weatherman by any means but I don't think Waynesfield will get much rain at all if any. Everything looks to be going south and even if the track does get rain I don't see it cancelling anything.

Weather.com just revised their hourly forecast. They are now calling for 60% chance of rain at the 5:00 PM hour and 80% chance for the 6-8 time period. That certainly doesn't sound very good.:7:
