Indianapolis Racing Schools

I'm going to take a deep breath and wait for a cool headed answer as to why this shouldn't piss me off. There's a website called www.indianapolisracingschool.com. Corporate headquarters is in Georgia and the school is in California. They have no racing school or 'race experience day' in Indianapolis. ***? Isn't that like stealing? If I was Budweiser and somebody was bottling their own brand and selling it on a website called www.bottlesofbudweiser.com would I care or have any recourse? Please help me because my blood pressure just went up about 20 points. :11:

Does anybody want to play armchair racer lawyer with me, just for ***** and giggles?

Why should you or anybody else be bothered by it? Nothing you can do about it and life to short to let something trivial like this bother you. If you going to worry let it be something that is important in your life, but there again nothing you can do about that either.

Deanna, for as passionate as you seem to be about racing and Indianapolis, why don't you go make some money and fund some type of motorsports! Seriously, you have a book deal you are excited about, which is awesome, but why don't you make a plan to create some change! I will bet you that whoever owns that company doesn't care that it has the name of indianapolis in it and the fact is, they are actually giving people a racing "experience" unlike yourself. Please stick to positivity for your book and stop complaining and start working. Think about what you could do if you have a successful book, hm...maybe support a local Indianapolis native in their dream to race. I don't understand your negativity at all. JMO

How dare you voice your opinion on an internet forum. :14:

That is about the weakest scam I have ever seen. It's not only Indianapolis that I would be worried about. These people have a url telling you they are a scam, and linking to more of their own sites! You can tell by looking at that site that they are only there to collect money off some ******.

Just do a google search for indianapolisracingschool ripoff

Free enterprise isn't always a great thing.

I don't know who you are, but you're awfully good at writing. Perhaps you or Local Yokel would like to trade me places. You'd have to grow **** and ovaries to get my perspective though. Thank you for your interest.

P.S. If I win the lottery, I'm getting a hobby stocker, changing my name to Hooters McGee and only leaving the house on Saturday. I don't think there are enough race fans who read to afford that lifestyle since half the population has been pushed away from the sport for at least a century.

Well I don't think I am awfully good at writing so I am not sure why you are bringing that up...that has nothing to do with the discussion or me wishing good luck with getting the publisher.

What is it with your negative comments constantly? You want racing to thrive yet you drive it into the ground by all of these things you say are raping the racing world. Maybe you should try to go help a team some weekend and actually realize the fact that even though there are low points in every sport, people still love it for what it is.

Do you even go to races Deanna because I have never even heard you mention enjoying a certain race or this/that a particular event. Serious question.

LocalYokel 6/30/11 2:49 AM

I had the privilege of driving many different classes of openwheel cars in my life. None was more fun than driving a non-winged 410 on dirt. Unfortunately I had to give it up since I could no longer afford it. I don't revel in the fact that the sport became to expensive for me to contine participating as a driver. What good comes from being angry about something you can't control? Sorry to get so off topic, but what Im trying to get across is this. Enjoy yourself, and don't get upset over things you have no control over. So what a racing school is advertising in a way you disagree with,so what a racing sanctioning body operates in a way that some think isn't bettering the sport. I believe the purpose of life is to leave a positive impact on the people around you. Negativity solves nothing. Embrace life, help someone out whether its sponsoring a race team or simply donating money to your favorite charity.

Re: Indianapolis Racing Shools

If you are a writer, and so passionate about racing you should get involved. Why don't you buy a ticket to a race, supporting a local track, help an underfunded racer with their PR and sponsorship proposals. Big money racing already has established writers like Robin Miller and Curt Cavin who have the name, age, experience, and contacts to write a novel. You gotta start somewhere, and why not follow the careers of some real good, really deserving locals. Some of the posters on here write.

You will notice a lot of people have all the answers, yet don't do one single thing besides buy a ticket, sit in the same seat and complain every week. If you do get involved, you can become a thankless volunteer, spending your own time, money and effort, and at the end of the day you walk away knowing you helped the sport you love.

If you are gonna stay hung up on Indianapolis and Indycar racing just do a google search for indycar forum and I am sure you will find plenty of opinions and experts out there.

As for your original post, you won't find much sanctity on the "internets". The real world has a lot more to offer. Just be glad you live in an area with so much racing history, and more importantly so much racing a couple hours outside your door.

I think he wanted to see the container for the ovaries.... seriously tho a couple things bug me here. One people picking on someone for a typo, big deal, make a single comment and move on. The funny thing is one of the people who made a comment screwed up their comment with an error.... Another if you don't like what she has to say ignore it and move on. She's not commenting to be mean, she's commenting because she loves the sport. Maybe it's negative sometimes but I don't think she or most people on here comment on this forum because they hate open wheel racing. Give her a couple years and she'll get past the hurt and anger over the state of IndyCar racing, most of us had the 80's and CART to get over our disgust.......

I think Deannalynn writes these types of posts just to bring attention to herself, look at the type of language she uses and has to fit in with the guys, plus has there ever been anything positive for racing that she has posted. She mentions her big worries but my big worry is that I won't be around long enough to read her book, just kidding.

I wanted to play armchair racing lawyer last night since I thought I found an example of a possible brand/trademark infrigement. Since I have seen so many discussions on here regarding rules and laws, I thought somebody else online might be bored and want to play, too. If nobody wanted to play, I wish they would have just keep moving right along instead of reminding me how apathy and ignorance have hurt the sport so many have sacrificed so much for.
