I'm going to if feeling well I hope it don't rain at all because I plan to ride my ATV to the track it's only 18 miles thru the country roads it's a fun ride and I have never watched Latemodels there! Sounds like it will be a good race since the track is so smooth!

The UMP Late Models last year put on a great show. I will be there with Fire & Safety so stop by the Red Truck and say hey.

The Fire Truck wearing the yellow jump suits.

Ah, were you there on opening day? I remember watching your truck barely make it up the turn after the ambulance got stuck. Must have been slick if 4wd heavy rescue trucks were having issues.

PushEm! 6/26/11 9:02 PM

Yeah I was there that night. The track just had too much moisture that night. After the Ambulance got stuck we used my Red Dodge as the "Ambulance" for the rest of the night. Hats off to Mr. Spiker on gettin the track better so to not have another repeat of that night.

For those of you who think any type of racing other than nonwing sprints is horrible, then you are living under a rock. Don oneal cowboy'd that late model around there last year. Never lifted completely off the gas in qualifying. And as for them asking to cut the cushion down, you guys should go look at the rear suspension on a late model and tell me if you think it would hold up to 40 laps of a foot tall cushion. It won't lol..id encourage sprint car fans to spread their wings and check out a late model race

The Late Models do put on a great show as do all the classes respectively. I don't think anyone would like to slam their cars into a large cushion and feel good about it:15: Either way it will be a good night of racing to go watch at LPS on Tuesday Night!!!!

Late Models are without a doubt legitimate race cars and yes, are capable of putting on great shows for their fans. But, unless one of my two friends that drive them is running, I'm just not particularly interested in that type of racing (that doesn't make them "horrible"). That being the case, I come to an "OPENWHEEL" site to discuss "OPENWHEEL" racing............BTW I have been to a few late model races over the years. In fact, I promoted late model races the 3 years that I had Lawrenceburg Speedway and there were some great races between Gary Herbert, Charlie Sentmann, Ross Smith, Dan Rink, Dan Polking, Vern Lefevre et. al.

The simple solution to this, one of your many problems, would be to ignore him. But by doing that, you would have one less thing to ***** about. Although the name of the site is INDIANA open wheel, there are discussions of racing outside the state of Indiana also. Yet you don't seem to be complaining about any of those topics.

I will be there to watch just because I love late models, but the car is staying home. I just don't see why they have to open the rules and screw their 30 guys they get on a regular night. Its just a little greedy imo. But I would like to be the first to congratulate Hobbs on his win tomorrow night lol. He has a very fast bomber/super stock.

I noticed that too. Its not legal at Paragon either. Nothing against Lee at all he's a heck of a driver a lot of fun to watch but I know for a fact if he brought that car to Paragon they would load him up with those headers and a-arms. I've seen it happen three times already this season. I remember that first race someone commented that they were going to run their modified in the Bombers since there was no teching. As for me my car is staying safe in the garage. I got a championship to win. Thinking about building a LPS legal bomber for next year so I can join all my friends who have made the transition up there. I've been hearing a lot if positive things about LPS. Want to see for myself.

It's a special race and a couple of classes get to run, that's all good. The Late Models should put on a good show, did last year.
Most weeks at LPS the support classes normally put on a good race so they will be fine as well. Maybe not 40 Bombers but enough to race and probally a good one too for 2nd on back. Hobbs has a fast car for sure.

Looking forward to seeing Tuesday race.
