Good Luck DG

I saw on Skagit's site where Damion Gardner is going to strap on a wing and try to win the Dirt Cup this weekend. Good Luck to him, I'm sure he'll represent the Indiana scene well.

i think of ppl like jon, dave darland, brady short, bobby east, shane cottle, ect. when i say representing indiana. granite alot of usac racing is done in indiana but not all. i to like the demon. but he is no indiana native. there r alot of others the run usac and also race weekly local shows that arnt from indiana. needless to say he is not one of them. just thought it was odd thats all. i think it wouldve been more fitting to say "showem how the wingless guys get it done".:6:

Well, if you start asking for birth certificates to decide who represents Indiana, I'm gonna worry about ya! You race enough here, we claim you as our own! Ask Jeff Gordon!!!!! :5: just playin!!!

Seriously, though why does it matter? Do you think there's something magical about being born a Hoosier?

Re: Good Luck DG

pretty much. its obvious everyone in the world thinks there is something magical about dirt track racing in indiana. and for good reason. again all i was saying there are alot of ppl who race here every week with or without usac, agianst the best of the best. if you have any question on what im say go to you tube and watch interviews of Dg, jon, anyone and they r gonna tell u that if you can beat the locals in indiana then u r doin something.... are you gonna tell me DG does that weekly...no. matter of a fact i dont beleive he has won a race in indiana in a good while. and hear it sounds like im talkin bad about DG and im not. i appreciate everytime i get to so him race along with others. but there again this is the mecca and no hes not from here nor does he live here and only races here when usac rolls through. just sayin ask any of the big name drivers what ninty percent of indiana locals could do in their equitment. that says it all.

I hereby propose the first amendment to the constitution of the United States of USAC (Not affiliated with USAC). As it being necessary to establish uniform criteria for the Hoosier adoption of foreign(non-native Hoosier) drivers, this first amendment shall set forth the requirements for drivers to be titled "Hoosiers" and thus represent the racers of the State of Indiana. It shall not be a requirement that said driver be born in the State of Indiana (This shall henceforth be known as the Jeff Gordon clause). Any driver, human or non, from any geographical location of the universe, who meets the following requirements, automatically becomes, without further ado or processing fees, a genuine "Hoosier", certifiable by the United States of USAC (Not affiliated with USAC).

It is now proposed: 1) Driver participate in a non-USAC sprint car show at each of the following tracks: Gas City, Putnamville, Bloomington, Terre Haute, Paragon, Kokomo, IRP, Lawrenceburg, Eldora(OH).
2) Driver participate in a UMP modified event at Montpelier and Brownstown
3) Driver need not give consent to be called a Hoosier
4) Driver need not run a USAC race

Who is so inclined to edit or second this proposed amendment?

I simply said that he would represent the Indiana scene well. Anyway I don't see him in last nights results. Maybe he didn't go after all.

if its the same follow the corn vidoe im thinkin of u are sadly mistakin. he says right in the interview that his shop and things r still in cali. also states how much he appreciates the fact that brisco is able to help bein from indiana area. as far as the track record goes....hes a very good driver and has raced at terre haute. he has raced at alot of tracks. u only have to race at a place once to set a record. nothing that says you have to do it every week for the record to be valid... again lets ask DG if he would claim indiana..doubt it

settin a track record means nothin by the way. are legacys made on how many track records you have OR wins and championships. not that DG isnt buildin a good rep. but i think that was a silly statement trying to prove something about him because of a track record..i watched kasey kahne set the track record at bulls gap last year in a winged car....but by the end of the night everyone had forgot about that after he wrecked out of the race.

He does have a shop and stuff in indiana, he talks about how quickly the deal came together with trying to secure everything to make the move fulltime to indiana... and i think you are partially correct, i think he would say he is a hooiser by way of California... and all i was saying was he has been comin to indiana for a long time actually cause that track record run was in 2003 i believe...

---------- Post added at 02:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:57 PM ----------

not tryin to start nothin by the way, all I'm sayin is does it really matter where he claims? he spends most of his time in indiana, racing everywhere so who cares? he just one hell of a shoe, period....

You forgot a track way down in southern Indiana. Ever hear of a place called Tri State Speedway? One of the best tracks in the country located in Haubstadt Indiana
