Bloomington Speedway

Does anyone know who is going to be at Bloomington Friday night since there paying 3,000 to win sprints?

Re: Bloomington Speedway

With USAC not running, I would hope to see some of their guys there, along with the regular cast of characters at Bloomington.

On that note, im picking Shane Cottle to win

Cottle's web sight says he will be at gas city on friday? hope your wrong hope he comes to bloomington.

Chris Nunn 4/21/08 3:25 PM

Re: Bloomington Speedway

I forgot they are based close to Gas City. I would have thought the extra bucks would have enticed them to head to Bloomington.

But like you, I hope he shows up.

Re: Bloomington Speedway

Last I was told they are sticking to the schedule from the site. I will place a call to see for sure.

Hopefully the weather is good for the big show on Friday night. Do you think several of the USAC regulars will show up with a National event scheduled in May at Bloomington.

Re: Bloomington Speedway

I hope we can break this cycle of rainy weekends. The only races I've been to this year are the two POWRi indoor shows at DuQuoin. Can't remember going this far into the year without attending an outdoor event. Illness kept me away from opening night at Bloomington and the weather scared me away from making the drive last week. I can't wait to see the red clay and green grass again!

I read where Brett Melenbrandt (sp) from S Dakota is making the trip.He was @ GC last weekend.

Re: Bloomington Speedway

My vote goes for Shane Cottle for the win, but Jon Stanbrough should also be very strong! Can you ever bet against Stanbrough? Would be great to see a Bloomington regular score the victory.

Well I'm gonna have to go with my gut on this one. It's right most of the time, but I hope this time it is wrong. My pick to win is....

Just saw the weather forecast and it looks like rain here in Evansville not till late Friday night so it is looking good. Rather windy Friday but that's about it. We'll see.

I will have to go with brady short. He ran really strong when he won the opener there.

Maybe we'll get lucky with the weather after all the recent rain outs! Should be a outstanding show if rain hold offs until late Friday night!!!

Any new weather reports for Friday night? I'm coming from Tennessee and would love to see Bloomington get it in as I never know when I'll be able to get back up for a sprint show. As yall know I live in the land of tin cans now.

From Intellicast:

Just checked NOAA and the Weather Underground for Bloomington and they both have 100% chance of rain there at 8pm so don't be surprised if they pull the plug on the show this afternoon.
