Jack Kraemer Memorial Hard Charger Award

The Jack Kraemer Memorial event is on track to happen at Terre Haute on July 13. Mike Clark is raising money to present to the hard charger of the race in Jack’s honor. Collections have reached over $1000, but will continue until race night when the overage will be presented to more than one driver after the hard charger portion is handed out. Mike is shooting for $1000 for the hard charger! Jack was a lifelong sprint car fan who gave a beer and some chicken to all who visited Jack’s camp at Terri Haute each race. He was a Wasdash contributor, and supported many of his own local racers in Indiana for many years. He was most often seen in a Wagtimes t-shirt, a Gasman hat and jacket, when the weather required. A smile and a beer at a race, that was Jack. Many of you knew him and Mike would appreciate your help in honoring him. Call Mike at 562-619-6335 or e-mail him at mclark26@msn.com. Get involved in this worthy effort. You can call or e-mail me as well.

Mike Clark will be at all of the IMW races, as well as Brent Goodnight, LeRoy Bedingfield and myself with fliers and further information for anyone wishing to help us remember our good friend, Jack Kraemer.
Any and all donations to add to this already sizeable award in Jack's honor, will be deeply appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your interest. :32:

I know a lot of people may be a little tight on cash during Midget Week. I will continue to collect money until race time at Terre Haute. For those of you who knew Jack, he was a one of a kind guy and was generous at the races. Hopefully we can make this worthy of his name. The reason Terre Haute was chosen is simple, That was Jack's favorite track. Thank you in advance for helping with this unique event.

On a side note, we intend to reestablish "Jack's Camp Thirsty" at Belleville this year. More on this later as plans come together.

:3: Not sure if we can find any Falls City Russ, but there definitely will be chicken livers and a few cold ones for those who stop by.:6:
Jack's Camp Thirsty will also be set up at a yet-to-be determined location at Terre Haute. Plans are to have decals available in his memory.

Should be a great time at the races, at a great track, remembering a great race fan!

Just a reminder...the plans for this event are moving along great and everyones excited about the upcoming Indiana Sprintweek.

We'll be at the POWRi/Badger shows at Little Belleville this Friday and Saturday, and hope everyone has a safe weekend wherever you go and hopefully get to enjoy a race somewhere. :32:

Mr. Kraemer was an outstanding man! The last thing he said to my wife and i at granite city last year was "let nature run it's course" when she was way ready to deliver! Cru came shortly after that and Jack left us soon thereafter. Jack also gave me a room and some cold beer during my first time to the chili bowl in 2003! I can't wait for july 13, except i would rather start first and lead the whole thing!

I know I will be a Gas City on Friday and Kokomo on Sunday. Any one wishing to donate to this race can find me there. Saturday depends on work.
