Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
I would imagine that most here will favor the Schedule of Events for the title event. The Rich Vogler Classic 30 lapper for USAC Sprints will be run before any of the features for the three support classes. Hope to see many of you fellow poorly educated midwestern deviates (Admit it.....Mills has us pegged :wink ) bright and early Sunday a.m.

I plan on meeting up with you and your trusty Silverado by 8:30 a.m.!:thumb

Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
Hope to see you all there.
|
Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
Lord willing, I will be there in less than 24 hours to enjoy my favorite speedway.
|
Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
Let's have an IOW meet & greet by the souvenier stand right after time trials. I look forward to seeing all of you!

Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
Will be there, but no way will it be that early.
Marv, either PM or e-mail me your cell phone #...if you have one that is. Tomorrow will probably take the grandson to the "city" park. I'm about an hour away from Winchester up here. Would stop by and get Aero but I'm not sure if he will be home. |
Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
We will be there in the morning. "Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed" will not be the description for us tomorrow. Seeing how there will be some Captain and beer involved tonight...... well lets just say we will be there!!!!

:headbang I couldn't find anything on the website. I haven't been to Winchester for years and can't remember if you can take it in or not.

Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
:usac:What is everyone expecting for a sprint car count? The pre-entry list looks short.

Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
Any weather forecast for Sunday?
|
Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
The forecast is for a high temperature around 70 in late afternoon. Sunny a.m. skies clouding over after lunch with a slight chance of a shower through the afternoon. I would expect a car count of between 20 to 25. That is typical for Winchester and enough for a good show. And this is one track where the stock car classes are enjoyable.

Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
I think that one of the stock car features(late models) is a 100 lapper. At least they're pretty fast.

Keeping fingers crossed on the weather. MSN weather page now showing 70% chance of NO precipitation. Radar picture doesn't look as good as I'd like. Gregg, Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Dixie Chicks. and I are about to head out on our 88 mile trek. We must be off. And in the words of Sgt. Phil Esterhaus, "Hey, let's be careful out there." :checkered:

Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
It's raining in Richmond. Radar says stuff is moving south. We are hopeful its ok in Winchester.
|
Re: Winchester Speedway - Sunday 4/20/08
Mrs Vogler talked to the track and they are determined to get this race in.
