They just did a sound check, so they should be on the air before too long.

How soon are they going to move the logo out of the way, so we can see what's happening on the stream?

Hope they get a better crowd tonight. That place looked empty.
Might be a one and done deal if they have the same crowd again tonight.

I am there and the crowd wasn't bad for the first night. They started on time last night ran a steady show and it was complete before 11:00. I saw lots of kids here till the end so I expect tonite to be an even better crowd, and the racing was awesome compared to the weather challenged tracks we have seen so far this year. Starting on time, keeping the show moving, and getting the fans out at a reasonable time will only help to get more fans in the stands. Even if it doesn't help tonite it will help when the sprints come back later in the year.:6::8::9:

I agree. The facility is very nice and they ran an efficient program. Just say"n there could not have been 300 people there. I might be wrong but that is what it looked like to me. If the show is not a money maker it really doesn't matter how clean they ran the show. USAC is not what you call the king of promotion even though the guy that runs is supposed to be a GREAT Promotion guy. Even if they get double or triple the crowd tonight I just don't think it will cover the costs. Nice car count though. Not being negative....Just being honest. I enjoyed watching the race. Good race for a track that size.

I don't know what happened to the car, but the kid put a heck of a move on Bobby East going into turn one. Looks like Mr. Kunz picked a good one.

I concur. The number was probably closer to a thousand. Not great, but not bad for a Friday night race in what is not exactly midget country. I expect a larger crowd tonight, and I think the sprint show in August will be even better. You have to remember, this is wing country. There are probably lots of folks around here that aren't even aware that they run open wheel cars without wings. I think USAC made a good move to expand their territory this far into the boonies. Time will tell if that's true, but I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet.

Cool, a 1000 is not to bad. Crowd just looked light from the Live vid. No doubt that is winged and modified country. Good to see the Colordao guys supporting the show.

Re: Dodge City - Expected Entries Posted

Guys, do you think the low attendance is unique to USAC? Think again. I just watched the NASCAR Nashville race. The stands were virtually empty. I have watched NASCAR, F1, IndyCar, Moto GP, Motocross, and just about every other motorsport on TV this year. It's pretty bad attendance everywhere. Baseball? Bad news there too. How about $4.00 a gallon for gas? Times are tough. How about 9% unemployment? Groceries are 15% higher than a year or so ago. This is also a brand new event. New events make it hard to fill the stands. It takes years to do that.

Pullleeese, it's not just a USAC problem
