I have a feeling that somebody on IOW is going to complain about this.

All three rescheduled for 29th-1st

GAS CITY APRIL 29, LAWRENCEBURG APRIL 30, KOKOMO MAY 1

All three AMSOIL USAC National Sprint races rained out this past weekend have been rescheduled. The weekend of April 29-30 and May 1 will restore the “tripleheader” concept, with the order of events remaining the same as originally planned.

Gas City I-69 Speedway will host the Friday night, April 29 race, while Lawrenceburg Speedway hosts the Saturday night, April 30 race. Concluding the weekend on Sunday night, May 1 will be the race at Kokomo Speedway.

“We were fortunate to have this weekend open to be able to reschedule these events,” says AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Series organizer Dave Brzozowski. “We are appreciative of our race organizers at each of the three venues who helped make this a reality.”

Race fans were excited about the three races in three nights and being able to restore this concept is a great way to kick off the 2011 Midwestern season.

A stellar field of entries was assured for these three races and they should prove to be pivotal in the chase for the 2011 AMSOIL championship.

Damion Gardner, winner of two of the three season openers in Florida, enters the “tripleheader” with a 21-point lead over defending series champion Levi Jones.

:20:Instead of bitchin about these races USAC and the track should get a big pat on the back along with a Thank You !

:8:They kept the excitment of have 3 USAC races in a row at these great tracks.
:31: If they would of put one race here and the others somewhere else then it would just be a USAC race.
:32: 3 in row at these tracks is hot shitz and I'm sure the racefans are excited too.

Good Job USAC & The Tracks:6:

I'm very glad this could be put back together. Once Lawrenceburg said their make up was the 30th, I was hoping the other two could be worked out for the same weekend too. Thanks to those who made it work, I'll be supporting it. :32:

I'm just seeing this info now. Thanks for the page, i will consult with a fellow cheesehead and see if this is possible for us. Might be tough to get vacation at work that quick though......and before anyone gets this idea.....no, calling in sick is not an option for me!

BIG THANKS to the promoters and USAC! Unfortunately I cannot make a single one that weekend...maybe Kokomo but that might be pushing my luck.

One of the worst excuses for calling in sick when you work at a cheese factory is saying you have the runs, you know what i mean? :5:

Tim, I used the out of town funeral of a friend back in 2004 when I was helping HAR and went with them to Missouri and Tulsa, Okla in September of that year...if memory serves me correctly that was the first 2 races Jerry drove the car. I have to admit that I felt bad about making that excuse up to get out of work...didn't feel bad about getting out of work but I know I would have felt really bad if something had happened to one of my friends. I had this funny feeling for the whole trip, but, fortunately nothing happened. Back in 1982 I remember talking to Rick Nichols after an Eldora All Star race. I asked him how he got out of work to make all of the races..he said "oh, I've had an Aunt die 4 or 5 times."

The problem is i just can't afford to take a no pay day and then go to the races. Pulling it off at work is one thing but my wife is a foot taller than me (which most people are) and i'm no match for her possible retalliation for an incident like this. :20: :33:

This was supposed to be the first "Road to the Hewitt" race of the season. I guess it won't be now.
