Man...what a heat race lineup. I remember going to my first 500 the day before and then on to New Bremen to see this race. I was a 12 year old kid and that was the greatest weekend I had ever experienced. If memory serves me correctly A.J. was going to drive at New Bremen but after winning the 500 the day before he decided to put Jud in the car. Sadly, the very next week at Terre Haute Johnny White would be critically injured duing qualifying in the Weinberger Homes car he was driving in this video.
