Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
What darkhorses could have good showings at the Chili Bowl?
|
Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
Kyle Larson from Elk Grove, CA.
|
Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
T-Mez, Casey Shuman, Daryn Pittman
|
Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
"Showtime" Danny Sheridan in a Robbie Allen car, Josh Ford, Kyle Larson in the Crossno #38, and not a threat to win by any mean's but want to see how far Brian Deegan (Metal Mulisha-SC Off Road Champ) can go in a Kruseman prepped Midget in his first race.
|
Gotta go with Cole Whitt!!!! Hasn't been in a dirt car since last years chili bowl

Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
I would like to see Mario Clouser, Jonathan Hendrick, and Zach Daum do good!
|
Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
Not really a dark horse, but Steve Buckwalter.
|
Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
chuck i agree, cole whitt had a great chili bowl in 2010,also another dark horse could be shane cottle if everything goes well... we will see but a driver who has never won the chili bowl is JJ YELEY,Bryan Clauson,...its a great show and lets rock best race of the year

Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
Maybe Tony Roney can improve upon his outstanding performance of a year ago. And I'd like to see Stanbrough have a good outing in a rare midget appearance.

Ryan Smith a Tuesday nite qualifier in the Buckwalter #0. A true sleeper from ARDC (2ND to Steve in 2010 ARDC points and 25 east coast wins in various open wheel divisions):8::9::9:

Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
Brady Bacon in a Kunz car is my pick.

Cottle would be my pick. He always runs good there and is a pretty damn good midget shoe.

Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
Mine is Shane Hollingsworth. Every year he's on the verge of something great. He's a clean racer, which is not the right frame of mind at the Chili Bowl. Shane, PUT YOUR DOG FACE ON and good luck buddy!

Chris Windom's got my vote, 2 hard charger awards in the last 3 years, and hes proven he can get in the winners circle just coming off an Oval Nationals victory. :22:
|
Chris Windom wouldn't be a bad pick. But Jimmy Owens is a real dark horse. He is a real good shoe in a late model.

T-Mez or JJ Yeley. Both are some serious gassers and can work some traffic.

Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
Anybody know which night the "Wild Child" will be racing. Haven't seen him on the entry list yet.

Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
As previously mentioned by some one else I would love to see Dave Darland win his first Chili Bowl.
My darkhorse pick however is Tim McCredie, call my pick Central N. Y. loyalty or the fact that personally I think he has something to prove when it comes to this race. An if Dave or Tim can't win you will hear me cheering loudly from Az. for J. J. Yeley, Jerry Coons Jr., Casey Shuman, and Chad Boat. Best of luck to all competitors at this years Chili Bowl! Patti |

P.S.. Patti, What does Tim have to prove, how many times does he have to win the Chili Bowl. I mean a late model driver winning the Bowl even one time, is pretty damn impressive to me. Just curious... P.S.P.S..I can think of a COUPLE sprint car drivers that have something to prove, before McCreadie... P.S.P.S.P.S...Actually with that field of talent...NO ONE has to prove anything to anyone... |
Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
Chris Windom, the kid always steps it up when the driller is on the line. Coming off a great 2010 and an Oval Nats win he'll be fun to watch.

That is what I meant by prove to see him back in the A Main, hopefully Tim qualifies for this years Chili Bowl A Main and runs a great race. Patti |
Re: Chili Bowl -- Darkhorses
Seems like I overheard a conversation about Bobby Barth being in Tulsa wrenching on one of Don Fike's midgets Tuesday night. There's a wagon that's subject to pretty good.
