WALKER AND WINDOM SPLIT ?

I'm hearing that Chris Windom has left the Walker Racing Jam-It-In Storage #11. I'm told that Windom was bringing money to the ride and doesn't want to do that any longer. I was told that he is contacting other teams and doesn't have anything solid at this time. Windom had 10 feature wins in the Walker #11 in 2010. I guess we will see.

Rumor has Windom in the Baldwin #5 car next year as Grant has been let go and hanging out at Walkers.

Regardless of how many wins Chris has in this car, if this rumor right, he's going to have to have a pretty good year to outshine what Justin did in 2010. Not a ton of wins, but many of the year's better highlights were provided by this combo. Grant drove the p**s out of that car and night after night was a tough out for many a driver, in many higher dollar ride. And he was consistently one of the fastest qualifiers.

That sucks, grant has already ran for walker before so hopefully he goes there, windom I bet goes to the open benic spot, he needs a midget ride too he's pretty good in a midget

The Benic ride would have to be open first for that to happen.

Well from what I read on here my understanding was that clauson was leaving the 2b car to run his own stuff, I could be wrong though

Dont know about running his own stuff, plenty of rumors out there, but he definitely has left the Benic ride.

I have heard:

-Windom is looking at all his options for 2011 but hasnt left the #11
-Grant is OUT at Baldwins...
-Clausen is OUT at BENICS....
-Keith Kunz Motorsports is currently not running the 2011 Usac schedule due to no paying driver..... just running limited schedule with ???????

No paying driver? The drivers have to pay to run with big names?? I'm not sure how it all works, Im shocked at baldwin releasing grant though

Money money money...heard 1 of kunz drivers brought close to 2 million to drive for him the last 2years...just what i heard

This sucks! I hate change. I loved watching Grant drive the hell outta the Baldwin car. Same with Windom in the Walker car. I do know that Armstrong will not be running the Corey Tucker car next year so maybe that's where Clauson is headed. But who knows. Armstrong will not be running a sprint at all next year :7:

where you all been, the $$$$ thing has been going on for years. Just last year DD couldn't buy his ride and went looking around. Kuntz rides have been big $$$ rides for years. makes me think of running two cars and selling one out to the highest bidder.

Agree 100%. However, it is hard to blame anyone for selling rides when people are willing to throw buckets full of money at them.

Worst thing for DD is now he doesn't have a midget ride. Hard for guys like him and Levi Jones to make a run at the NDC if they can't run all 3 divisions.

I feel a little bit guilty if any of this is indeed true...lol It seems like everytime I buy a USAC National driver's shirt at the Oval Nat's at the year's end the following season the driver is no longer in the same ride. ie; Brady Bacon, DD, Cole Whitt, BC, Kevin Swindell, Chris Windom and the list goes on ! ! I might have to stop buying my beloved Sprint Car and Midget shirts

Yep!!...as a rule...I don't usaully purchase individual Driver Tees,of coarse an occassional exception ta the Rule!!....I'm after the Event shirt and/or Track shirt when PRINTED on BOTH SIDES!!....price not an issue with me,when great artwork is displayed front/back!!...most always get (2) for self!!...........

You or your Dad may know or remember Paul Neighbors the old starter from IMS. He had/has a fabulous t-shirt collection that went back to the 1970s. And, they all were in great shape as he would only wear (each of them) them once a year. Made everybody jealous.

I wouldn't surprise me if that were true, Lloyd. But, it just goes to show you, you can buy a ride, but nobody's got enough money to pay Jon Stanbrough, Bryan Clauson, Dave Darland, etc. to ease up and let you go by them. You still can't buy a win. Not in these parts, anyway.

That is one of the things I love about nonwing racing. Wing fans may disagree with me, but my observation has been that the car makes more difference with winged racing, thus it is easier to "purchase" better finishes. Jerry is exactly right. You better come prepared to do battle in these parts.

well im pretty sure he had a "pretty good year" that outshines Grant.. wins, quality wins, great shows.. im sure he junked a quarter of the equipment that grant junked.. that doesnt take away from Grant.. It was great to watch him progress into the driver he is today.. seemed like you could see him get better with every race.. Windom, gets better every race, wins, fairly easy on equipment.. we shall see.. hopefully someone comes and puts the truth out.. im ready for racing season already..

Clauson out of the 2b????? IF this is true then from what I understand he needs a Sprint AND a midget ride, I've heard he is OUT of the 39 and JR Todd is the new hotshoe.

JR Todd is under contract with Team Frolic and will be running the Frolic midget for Midget week. Done deal!!!!!!

Pine is coming out to crew chief a second car for JR (#39T/F), as the fees are being taken care of by jwjones76. Jones keeps all the winnings though, part of tha deal. Baconator99 in charge of PR. She wrote a press release informing us to be on the lookout for new Team 39TF cotton. No photos yet.

Word around the pallet fire is that Jones had to pay more than what Kunz is asking for the Bowl, but that's just between you & me.

JR spends 4 days at the Bossford school of drifting & now he thinks he's ready to slide around the QT Expo.
