What do you think the price should cost for Silver Crown cars and midgets? You remind me of an ex girlfriend who always had a reason for me not to go to a race. The key word being ex. If I do not get stuck working Saturday, I will gladly drive 4 and a half hours and pay $25 each for the wife and I to see this race after going to Kokomo on Friday night. Have fun at home on your computer.

Rollie is the reason I have followed non wing sprint car racing for the past 50 years. He was always a class individual, a hard charger, and could win on both dirt and pavement. Champions of his caliber are hard to find in today's racing world. A race in his honor at Toledo is a fitting tribute to an ambassador for sprint car racing. I look forward to shaking his hand and thanking him for so many great memories. Well deserved!

Re: Rollie beale 150

Nice and early, home before dark, fall race, cool weather, whats not to love?. I'm heading straight from work, making a run for the border.

This will be my final local race before heading to Charlotte for the World Finals. This will also be my first pavement crown race and third ever!

Any ideas on what cars will be there? I know Berlin was a week day show and on the opposite end ORP had some cup drivers in town and is most likely centrally located to most teams.

The local ABC station did a short segment on Rollie Beale and his career to support the USAC race in his honor Saturday. Rollie is 81 years old and was filmed climbing over the cage of the Weaver #2 vintage sprinter and into the cockpit. His quote was "the race named for him is as good as a feature win". How cool is that!:9:

Can't make the trip from Colorado, but wanted to say we think it's great to honor an old friend and all time great guy. I'm sure that there wasn't a more respected driver or official in his time. We always look forward to our time with Rollie and Anna Mae during our summer family visit. Sorry we won't be there to see the race.
