Don's Crankshaft
Can anyone out there recall who drove Sprinters sponsored by Don's Crankshaft (Don Kemper) of Cincinnati? I know Doc Dawson and Junior Smalley did but have to believe there were others. This would have been from the mid-60's the mid-70's. Anyone know anything about Don Kemper?

Re: Don's Crankshaft
I'll betcha Greg Staab spent some time in a Don's Crankshaft sponsored car!
It was probably Greg and his dad, Stan's Yellow #44 Edmund's Sesco. They were true racers cut out of a mold very few of today's young guns could ever fathom or imagine. |

Keith, I'd Say That Picture Was Taken At Atomic Speedway. That's Charlie Mccan's (steve's Dad) In The Background. We Alway's Parked On The Other Side Of The Pits.

Thanks for posting the picture ..... That`s good stuff right there ! .... If Turtle and Jimmy had been hovering in the background it would have been perfect ...

Re: Don's Crankshaft
Thanks to everyone who replied. Also for those who don't know, Gill Hess died July 5, 1970 after crashing at Salem. To quote Kevin Eckert, "Remember the heroes".

Re: Don's Crankshaft
Jim Bob Leubberts spent time behind the wheel of a Don's Crankshaft car too. Don Kemper was a big guy who always had on a plain white t-shirt. Sort of an easy going guy as I recall. |
