Speed Sport Delivery

Just wondering how everyone's delivery is in Indiana. We had some challenges a few months ago...seems to have improved.
Anyone go to Hewitt's roast?

I stopped taking my subscription a few years ago because of the timeliness of the delivery. Glad to hear that an attempt was made to do something about the timing. :8:

Perhaps I should consider uping again.

Thanks for asking. Great paper and I recieve mine in Toledo, OH each week on Thursday or Friday. I agree with Dicnjan: more coverage of the super racing in central Indiana. I spend a lot of money and miles going to Gas City, Kokomo, Bloomington, etc. to watch non wing sprints. High car counts and old fashion broadsliding in the dirt racing.:2:

I know you didn't ask about Massachusetts, but the good news is, I received this week's paper today. Of course, the bad news is, I haven't received last week's yet. :(

Re: Speed Sport Delivery

Corrine,

Thanks for asking. As you know, southwest OH has been having serious issues for several weeks. We called last week, the office sent out that week's and the previous week's issue. Those two showed up at the same time as the first missing week's issue and we never have seen the second week's issue. Now we haven't received this week's yet.
Yes, we were at the Hewitt roast. Good crowd and lots of laughs but definitely R rated!!

After years of dealing with postal service slow delivery issues. I gave up and subscribed to the "web" version of NSSN about a year ago. Since then, I've experienced no delivery issues - the paper is available for download late tuesday evening, and I haven't miissed an issue yet. And the price for a web subscription is about a 1/4 of a mail 2 year subscription!

I get mine on Thursday unles the mailman wants to read it first.

I went to the Hewitt roast and it was a blast. I laughed so hard my jaws hurt. Besides that the food was good and the booze was cheap. Great night.

Corinne,

It is rather ironic that you ask. First off, I think that your efforts are very noble. I hope that everyone gets better service that I have had. As a long time subscriber, I have seen it arrive on Thursday up until the following Tuesday. It seems that many times I have received the current issue before the previous issue was delivered. A number of years ago I called and complained and they did a trial test to see exactly what the problem was. Service improved somewhat. I know it isn't first class mail, but I don't plan on paying for that service either. Lately, if I receive it within a couple of weeks of the normal delivery I feel very lucky. A lot I guess depends on how long my mail carrier keeps it to read. Must be a slow reader.:3:

My subscription just did end with the issue last week. I decided that I wasn't going to renew just because most of the time when I receive it, the news is old. I still love Chris's column along with Gary London and Dave Argabright. Much of the other coverage that interests me I can get from other sources on the web in a more timely manner.

Not blaming you or your company as I feel most of the time it is due to the poor service we receive from the postal service. I know locally that my deliver person can't find my address but they have been able to supply me with my other neighbors mail.:15: We seem to exchange mail on a regular basis. After numerous attempts to get this corrected, I have decided to just not worry about it any longer. And we wonder why the USPS is having difficult times. Sorry Danny boy.:19:

For years and years mine came like clock work every Friday.

I don't really notice what day it comes now, but the stories and news are as good as ever, so when ever I get it is fine!

Keep up the great work.

We always blamed the mail man for reading it first, then delivering ;)

Corinne, the delivery had been excellent until the past month to Zip Code 46366 when NSSN slipped to the following Tuesday and was delivered today Wednesday. The Postal Service locally does not have an answer for this slow delivery. Thanks for having an interest for your readers. Paul D Croyle

Well, I ain't from Indiana but I kinda like the music. I live in Florida and it is rare to get it in the same week, usually the Monday or Tues. of the following week. When I finially get the Internet to my place I'll probably just subscribe to the web page so I will have more current information.
