Question

I'm asking this question because I don't know the answer.

Which state has the most dirt tracks?

Need facts not guesses or speculation.

Thanks

Sean,

Drop a line to Allan Brown the former publisher of The National Speedway Directory. He will be able to answer any questions you have.

Re: Question

I think speedwaysonline.com might be a good place to look. Just a guess, I think maybe California.

I just counted 46 dirt ovals in Pennsylvania.

He stated "per capita". that means one dirt track for every 30 people.

Too bad, always liked running into him at the races. I'm sure he will still be there just not roaming the stands selling books.

I got the book every year since 02. Allen is still an advisor to the book publishers I ran into him at Illiana a year or so ago.

Re: Question

now the next question may not be as easy to answer ... of these numbers, how many are currently active, and how many have sat 'idle' this year, or for more years ... ?? .. and what state has the most 'inactive' tracks sitting idle .. ??
