I just hung up with a friend of mine who is going to both deals at Moler and KC. I was told a few guys at KC are taking the wings off. If your going you better get your rooms now there is an Easy Rider Motorcycle Rodeo show going on.

The Moler website says it is an American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) race which I believe is incorrect.

The American Sprint Car Tour (ASCT) has Moler on their schedule for Friday September 3rd and KC Raceway on their schedule for Saturday September 4th (which the KC website agrees with).

not to excited about it being an asct event but ill be making my first trip down there this friday.

The American Sprint Car Tour (A.S.C.T.) is looking forward to its first trip to the Buckeye State of Ohio on the long Labor Day Weekend.

It all starts on Friday night September 3rd at Kevin & Kim Moler’s ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval of the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg Ohio. It will be the first time this season that Sprint Cars have raced at the facility that opened its gates in 2007.

The 25 Lap A-Main will pay $1200 to Win and $225 just to Start.
$100 is guaranteed to anyone not starting the feature event.

A-Main Guaranteed Payout:
1200,800,700,550,500,450,400,350,325,300,275,250, 13-20 $225.


Pits Open: 4:30 pm
Grandstands: 4:30 pm
Drivers Meeting: 6:30 pm

Before this season Non-Wing Sprints had not raced there since the early nineties. Fans are definitely looking forward to seeing a full night of heart stopping Non-Wing action.

Not trying to start any problems but, Is the purse "Guaranteed" By John Gurley with ASCT Or has the track "Guaranteed" to pay? I would like to run Molar friday but have some concerns after the last ASCT race I ran! Also does ASCT have there own scales now or will we be using the tracks? Thanks Landon

landon do you know if any of the other waynesfield drivers are gonna make the trip.

Landon, we've ran mini sprints quite a bit at Moler over the past few years, and even when we've brought less than 20 cars they've still payed the advertised purse. The Moler's are very good people.

Those always were the other classes, just dropped ASCT. Probably wouldn't have 10 cars. As I understand it, KC was going to be paying the purse, not John Gurley this time.

Yes, due to the low car counts KC Raceway and Moler Raceway Park have unfortunately had to cancel the sprints for this weekend.

well that sucks but they got to do wat they got to do. i was hopin to visit a new track.

I wish moler would reconsider this.... There where 5-6 waynesfield cars coming, some Burg guys, and some wing guys that where going to come as well..... I think they would have had 20-30 cars.....

I was planning on being there to see the sprints and say hi to the Mugivans.

i also thnk it would have been a decent car count and was lookin forward to this race. moler should have just made it an open comp non wing race. maybe next year.

I dont know if the Molars read this but if so... they still could have an open non-wing race friday and have alot of good racecars!

Everyone needs to send KC and Email and maybe they will reconsider and have to call Moler since couldn't email them for some reason. I think they could of had a better then normal car count. Especially since they were paying the tab on this one like the last one. We all got paid as said last show. I hope they can get another race at that track up north here in Indiana Medaryville. Just to name a few non-ASCT drivers and many many more....

I was coming too, bringing out 4 family members from the Cincy area, and several sponsor connected folks for my little race program. So many of us had hotel res, and took time off work.....what a shame. I don't know how promotors get away with it when there is a signed contract. It would be a little different if they were shutting down for the season like VCS did.....but all they are doing is turning away the non wing guys and going ahead with their regular show.

I was planning on running Molar along with all the drivers I posted plus more that I didnt post.....I wasnt planning on running K-C because Waynesfiled is so close to home and im still in the running for of WMP's points fund..... I would love to run K-C non-wing in the future tho! I think all race tracks should give non-wing races a try : ) I really think that molar could be a friday night non-wing race track and draw a ton of cars.... I have been there for all of their sprintcar races in the past and really liked them all! Its a great track with nice people! Maybe we can talk them into giving the best racing in the world a chance at their race track!!! Landon

i dont get why the couldnt have cancelled earlier instead of waitin 4 or 5 days before the event.

Not sure if the tracks cancelled themselves, or did possibly the ASCT decide to throw in the towel early on the year? I have absolutely no credible info to this and am not trying to start anything, just putting this out there that perhaps it wasn't completely the tracks' decisions. I can understand Molar being hesitant to run an open non-wing show again. The two races they ran the first year had like 12 & 14 cars-not very impressive to a new track owner I'm sure.

KC cancelled first, said they lost their ass last week on crowd and car counts. Then Moler follwed suit. ASCT is still trying to get them to change their decision.

Don't know how, had 36 sprints, 29 mods, and 22 hobby stocks, and from what I hear was the biggest crowd there all season.

Maybe it was the free general admission and $10 parking fee?

I really can't blame the promoters though, the ASCT hasn't been able to bring solid car counts to any of their races so far, plus all of the drama, people not getting paid, etc.

I called the track number and got machine....does anyone have a personal number I could call to talk with the Molar's? I think I could possibly talk them into running us friday...1000 to win 200 to start DT3 or MC3 tire rule....I know there are 4-5 teams that would come just to burn up there MC3 since ASCT is done and LBURG wont allow them now!

I really wish they would reconsider this I raced at moler when I run my mini and it was a blast. if they would put it back on the schedule i would be there for sure but i coudnt run kc because waynesfield is running that night. i would really like to run there so if theres any way we can get this race back on it would be much appreciated. The tracks did it; they were paying the tab, not gurley, and ASCT would of negotiated a better price with them according to car count, they always have. Thats the way they do it with a low car count and this time is no different, thing was they were at a good chance of getting 20 or more again.

moler is a tin top track and probably always will be they would have probably got atleast 20 cars and been a very good show. kc i dont realy blame them with lawrenceburg and waynesfield running saturday night they probably wouldnt had 15 cars.
