I don't have a problem with the concept but I think the price is still a little high. $12.75

I'd pay 50 bucks to watch it.

Assume a Sprint wi-fi card is too slow? Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks

I am not against paying for online racing events. I am suspect of live streaming events because I am not sure the the quality is there yet. I also think the price point has to better to attract more viewers. The IOW fanatic is likely willing ot plunk down the money. I think a lower price point would attract a bigger audience. Anyway, I would still rather be at a track seeing a live event.

With that being said, I will take the Pepsi challenge. I will buy the event and see for myself. I have a few extra $'s in my paypal account.

The price is not bad, but I'll be out to dinner Sunday night. If there were a way I can delay it as I do all the soccer games I watch on TV, I'd buy it. I record all games on the DVR, then later select which ones to watch, during which I skip everything except the actual game. On second thought, the price is too high if they only have a single camera. I think Dean Mills does a helluva job with one camera, but we miss too much to pay more than 5 bucks or so.

Look at item 2 in the site's FAQ. It gives links to a couple of speed testing sites.

hhbilly, When I read some thought 12.95 was over-priced, I immediately thought of how much gas money it would take me to get to Iowa ( from PA), hotel rooms, food, ect ect....So I thought the price is a steal. But your exactly right, if the video has a bunch of glitches and starts and stops every 10 seconds, it wouldn't be worth a nickel... ...I too am giving the web-cast the pepsi challenge..:6:

I'm hoping Mr. Mills is in charge of the broadcast...:32:

People that have watched the 360 Nats have said that the video is excellent.

Re: Knoxville USAC race on PPV

I'll throw in my 2 cents if it is worth anything. I bought the last 3 nights and watched all of the 360 Nationals and I thought it was well worth the price. It's the internet, so it is not perfect all the time, but on the flip side I would be willing to say it is the best quality live streaming I've seen so far.

In 3 days I probably watched almost 12 hours of racing and just had to refresh the page once and then had it freeze once for about 15 seconds or so and it came back on its own.

For the 360 Nationals they had 1 camera up top and had another in victory lane for interviews. There was a pit reporter that gave commentary on stuff happening and the play-by-play was from their actual PA guys.

I had to contact customer service once on Friday and they got back really quick, but I would suggest you do their internet speed thing test as it turned out I was watching on high and I didn't have enough home bandwidth for it. Oh another thing, if you have never used these guys before, they offer 3 streams, low, medium and high, which is super nice because it kind of caters to your home connection.

All in all I was happy and I will be buying again tonight and probably next week for the Nationals as well since I can't get out there. I'm just happy this option is available and Knoxville is offering this kind of stuff. Non-wings on that track is going to be super cool, can't wait for tonight.
