Brownstown Crowd
So with all the talk of the promoter being concerned of getting enough fans and fans concerned if there would be enough seats, how was the crowd at Brownstown tonight? I got to watch it live on the puter from WI and it was a great show. Hope it was a success for Brownstown.

Chris is correct, Brownstown is known as a late model track. But fans should see that the open wheel boys :31:put on a heck of a show !!!!! :6: Chris hope they bring back just like Brady said !

Re: Brownstown Crowd
Feature was allright but the B and Heats were horrible hope USAC Dont Ever go back, all the talk about a good track. Track went dry slick after the 1st hotlap session. I will never go back.

Don't know what race bigd was watching but all I can say is wow. Sure the track slicked off but the third heat was great. Feature was awsome to giveit to short for running the top!

Re: Brownstown Crowd
Good effort on track prep...with weather being a threat, I think a seasoned sprint car track would have opted for a track to be a bit dry. Show ran through very quick and timely...as they all should. Bleachers towards turn 1, that are not covered, should be updated...seen someone almost fall through due to rotted wood and or nails coming out. I will give them some more of my entertainment $ if a sprint show is on the card.

Stay home next time, after this race, there will be 5 people waiting to take your seat |
Re: Brownstown Crowd
Crowd was great and everyone should be thankful they pushed the show along before the rain came...BigD just because DD didn't make the feature doesn't mean it wasn't a good show, stay at home next time more room for me

Re: Brownstown Crowd
What and awsome race are you kidding me Brady Short doing it on the outside that was just killer!!!!:8:

Re: Brownstown Crowd
What planet is this BigD guy from? Apparently, not mine. That feature was, without a doubt, one of the best of the year. Four-wide racing, and a 6 car battle for the lead is reason for repeat business.

Re: Brownstown Crowd
In my opinion, it was the best race of ISW so far.

Re: Brownstown Crowd
awesome feature race u could throw a blanket over top
five. we got out of there @ a reasonable time only 2 classes. this was by far the best race. |
Re: Brownstown Crowd
Even though I had my doubts, it was a great show. It's hard for track crews to keep a track heavy with the weather we have had lately. Black and slick was slow but it sure was an equalizer. I knew whoever found the little bit of moisture on the outside of the straights and stayed with it would win. That's the way the LM boys have run that place for years because 90 % of the time it's black and slick. Under the circumstances great job. Hope USAC goes back.

Re: Brownstown Crowd
Just got back from chasing sprint week. Thank you to Tim for pushing the show along and getting it all run without the weather interferring. I am glad that they were able to have this show and hope the track and USAC can work it out for next year as well. I would also vote for a stand alone show as well earlier in the year. A throwback to the old days of dirt track racing.:6:
