I heard a rumor that Jeff Bland was banned from Bloomington, is this just a false rumor or is there some truth to it?

those in the know aren't saying.

I know a couple weeks ago they black flagged a car for hot lapping prior to their heat. Was forced to go to consi.

As long as the rules are equally enforced. I got no problem. I know they did it to DD last year?? during sprint week

The Bloomington Speedway website shows him finishing 10th last Friday. Did something happen after the feature?

This was referenced in a couple of other threads since last weekend. When others asked about the banning they were rebuked.

I really would like to know myself.

I visit this site for news on Sprint Car Racing.

In a different post someone said that he jumped another racer after the races were over...that is also what i heard from another racers mom so im not saying if that is 100% accurate but thats what i have heard

OK this is what I was told by good freinds of his and his sponsor. Jeff got in a fight with another driver. Then a push truck driver ****** punched his dad in the back of his head, so Jeff kicked his ass. Did nothing to the push truck driver.Band Jeff for 2 weeks,he got a call Sat. morning told him not to come back for the rest of the Year.IS this right or wrong Mike????

So he won't be allowed to race at Bloomington for Sprint Week?

Heard from a reliable source that when they were changing a tire in the pits during the feature, his dad scratched a push truck and that push truck driver punched his dad. After the race, Jeff pretty much knocked the dude out. Can't say that I blame him. Who takes a truck to a track to push sprints off that they are worried about getting scratchdd. Alittle harsh in my opinion.

I am as far from being qualified to give legal advice however I do recall a "story" many years ago about CJ Rayburn being banned from Eldora Speedway during one of Earl's famous rants. As I remember, CJ supposedly had his lawyer draft papers and threatened to stop the races with an injunction if he were not allowed to complete. Maybe it is all folk lore and rumors but if I were Mr. Bland and wanted to compete for the title, I might contact CJ Rayburn and see if there is any validity to the story.

If anyone knows Jeff Sr. KNOWS he would not do anything on purpose. Heard something happened when they were changing Jr's tire. Sr. was not aware and the push truck driver pointed it out with his fist!!!! just what I heard

By "who knows" I believe he was referring to whether it happened on purpose or not. The "scratch" was real.

If so, I would suggest these good folks get thier collective heads together and work out a solution so everyone can go back to racing. I would believe all involved are fair minded people and hopefuly this has already happened. If they need a moderator I nominate Kevin Briscoe.

i didnt make anything up, the who knows was refering to whether it was on purpose or not, so i guess if speaking the truth is uncool call me a loser then

I've seen fights in the pits for years. Heck last year after a fight a modified driver turned and showed his fist to a female deputy. I bet he is glad he didn't unload. Everyone walked away mad but nothing done. With that said I would love to hear from the track, because if they ban Jeff for the year and don't do anything to the push truck driver,no more money going to that speedway JMO

Also since the rumors are flying - "IF" Jeff Sr. got ****** punched and "IF" Jr. laid the guy out GOOD BOY !!!!

Does anyone know who framed Roger Rabbit? Those who know the details know them..... the rest of us don't....GO FIGURE it is prob. that way FOR A REASON.....anyways... Sprint Week or something like that is pretty soon.

ha sounds like to me man u need to stay on the hill, everything ive stated is facts, i was there when the track official told us what all went down but hey next time ur at bton come down to the pits man and we can talk there, i guess ik what it feels like to be don moore being called out for being right ha

This has went on long enough. The whole thing started in the feature when bland seemed to slow down coming out of 1 and 2 and the 16r of tusing got into his left rear tire which popped blands tire. Bland was allowed to go to the work area and swap tires. After the feature was over bland came over to Tusings pit stall and began shoving tusing and eventually swung at Tusing. This confrontation is what initially got bland the 2 race suspension. After things had cooled off tusing then informed the track officials about what had happened and they said they would get together the next day and consider the length of suspension. Everyones gonna be questioning my creditability in the morning but I was in the pit stall when it happened.

Why does it always seem that there are different sets of rules for different drivers at Bloomington Speedway! First of all, Big Jeff would NEVER do any damage to any vehicle(push truck) on purpose and if you have any other view on that your crazy! And if he was ****** punched in the back of the head by a track employee, that is totally uncalled for and something needs to be done about that! I am not going to rant on this for the time being but HOPEFULLY USAC will have the final say in this for sprint week! People come to Bloomington Speedway to watch some of the best dirt track racers around sling the red clay, they are not there to watch you ride around on your quad runner! A level playing field for EVERY racer that straps in and races that track should not be to tough to ask for!

You know, the owners of the track do post on IOW, they probably read the threads from time to time as well. Maybe it would be possible for them to clear this all up and save you all your arguments, conspiracy theories, and motives for what's happened here??

Because really no matter how you tell this tale, it's bad press for the track and Bland.
