Kokomo tonight!

Which drivers are expected to be there? Hope Ballou makes it.

i was wondering myself if a decent car count since its the 4th of July....I wanna make the 2 hour 15min drive but not if they only get 17 cars and are just running thunder cars and street stocks. Wish the mods were there too...

With a $3000 to win mod race at Shadyhill it would have been a bad idea to have them. I think they had 17 when they raced last weekend. Sprints might be a little thin considering that sprintweek is only a few days away.

Yes sprintweek is next week and generally some of the guys that don't normally run at kokomo will show up the week before to get some laps in before sprintweek. Ballou has had a GORILLA on his back at Kokomo lately so hopefully he will show up and try to knock that damn thing off!

The sun is shinning and it is warm, great racing at Kokomo tonight no matter who shows up.

Kokomo has proven already this year that there isn't a need for a big car count to be a good show. The one week with only 13 and one with only 18 were both still good races. For those that can't make or choose not to come I will do updates.

Dean is in WI at Angell Park.

Dean is in Sun Prairie for the USAC midget race so the probability of using the usaclive site is slim since the midget race will be on it.

O'Crap, I forgot about that....Sun Prairie wouldn't be a bad alternative...

I agree. I used to be into car counts and follow where I thought that would be the case. But I have learned that theory of car counts doesn't hold true.

Go where you want and enjoy.

I agree that huge car counts don't always mean a better show but I like to see enough cars there to have a B main otherwise the Heat races dont count for a lot when everyone goes to Feature regardless of where they finish in the Heats. JMO

I agree with that too. Plus I like to get my moneys worth by seeing at least 4 heats, a B, and an A. Especially in these tough times...you want every dollar to be worth it.
