It's a problem for fans also. I would have to drive 260 miles round trip and then get up at 4 A.M. to go to work Friday. I love USAC pavement sprints at ORP, but it just won't work out for me.

Does anyone have an entry list for the ORP race? I wonder if we can expect the same twenty or so guys that were there a few Thursday ago?

Thought I saw on Mills facebook that tonight and Angel park were being webcasted. Dont hold me to it though. It would make sense that tonight would be since USAC is the promoter and therefore they control that.

How about Kody Swanson running 3rd in an Iron Block 360

He is the real deal

Re: USAC Nat'l Sprint Cars at ORP July 1

Another entertaining evening of sprint car racing at ORP. Hmeil had them covered for sure as he stunk up the show for the second time this year there. He certainly has that place figured out right now.

The battle for second through about sixth was intense for much of the last 20 laps. Coons finally wrestled it away with Swanson settling for third. Brian Gerster had a nice run to finish in the top 5.

The show was run in a timely fashion and they even had some fireworks at the end of it all. Dyno Don should be happy as he had the best of all worlds this evening. A single class show, checkered :22: before 10:30 PM and with the fireworks at the end, he got his world rocked all in the comfort of his seat on the frontstretch.:3: Sorry, but I couldn't resist.

He is the real deal for sure and another great young driver from the Golden State. Not sure about the Iron Block, but it was a new Toyota 360 engine.

I'm sure it was a al block 360 in swansons car! But remember power on the pavement isn't always the best thing for you! Remember what that yellow 20 car back in the day did with that lil ole 6 cylinder momo! I'm not taking anything away from swanson either kid can drive.

Don't forget that the yellow 20 car had a nice weight advantage too over the V8 cars.

Honest-Sam 7/2/10 2:42 PM

200 pounds if I remember correctly.
