Does anyone have a measurement on how far that wheel cover flew during one of the sprint heats? That had to be at least 100 yards. I believe it may have sailed over the pit area. That was unreal!!

Kuhn led all 30 lap and won the Midget Feature. Kuhn and Hines tie for Midget week points co champions. Kuhn lost a cylinder with about 4 to go and it was a great finish. Great job Brad Kuhn and all the drivers it was a great race, and a super Midget week 5 races and 5 winners.

I saw that thing go flying and think it cleared the pits also. There were several people sitting next to me that saw it also. Can you imagine what would have happened if it got in the stands? Unreal!

Has Darland switched USAC sprint car rides & just driving the Goodnight car for local shows or is he still with the Kuntz team?

Re: Kokomo

I think the kunz car is parked due to $$$

Re: Kokomo

It is my understanding that the Kunz team could not secure sponsorship money for Dave Darland to drive a second sprint car for them and he was let go from the sprint car ride but still runs a midget for them.

That is when he started driving the Goodnight sprint car, he has all ready won five features in that car seems to me it has been at least a month now.

Susan help do you have the exact date when the change took place?

your welcome susan, like you i dont get to see him race but about 10 times a year , and so when i talked to him at eastbay he told me how the deal was gonna work ,so i kinda new it was gonna be short term and followed it closer than usual.

the day's of sheer talent are over ,otherwise they would be breaking his door down with opportunitie's.

well said int66.....there are VERY few heroes left in the sprint car ranks, just a bunch of young spoiled brats with deep pockets!!!! They tear it up and buy a new one tomorrow.
