Just got a text from my bud sp. Grant with major issues, motor not running. Changing Mag, Box, Fuel pump, pickup-lines, bladder, filters. Doesn't look like they will make the main.

Bland and Short are really fast according to sp.
Dave

cfdrescue1 6/20/10 10:28 PM

Schurenburg and Short were battling it out, got together. Schurenburg stopped and couldn't continue. Short restarted in the lead, raced hard with Bland. Bland made last lap pass to take the win.

Re: tristate

Congrats to Jeff Bland Jr.!! Brady, do not act surprised when Hunter pays you back, as you will deserve it. Racing gods took care of their business on the last lap. 100% had the car to beat....I feel for him, cant get a break. I say that I saw the best sprint car race of my life last weekend at Tri-State......I say this every week until the next week.........120 degree temps all week long and the track was fast and tacky ALL night long! Wow....What a feature!!! Thanks to all of the racers and TSS crew!!!!

Pushed the envelope (almost took himself out) and instead ,got into Schurenberg and he went into the wall as Short kept going.

Hunters night will come. Great well mannered kid with a ton of talent. He would be my choice if I had the dough to start a USAC team. It has to be hard jumping from car to car.

Re: tristate

How about Chase Stockon, from 11th starting spot to 4th in the feature. He is now your MSCS points leader. Congratulation to Chase and his dad on DADS DAY! Sam Stockon SR.

Re: tristate

Guys, it doesn't get any better than that. Bland and Short banging wheels in turn 4 on the last lap. Track was very fast. Shout out to Cone, Ballou, and Gross who all looked pretty good tonight (until that late race stack up). Good to see little Shu. Can't wait to be back at TSS next Sunday for the UMP LM Summer Nationals.

I saw Bland and Short at the pay out window with smiles so looks like no sour feelings there. Not that I'm saying the pass was dirty just wanted to point that out.

Thank you to Tommy and Loris for a great conclusion for Fathers Day. Fantastic track, well run program--sprint feature over about 9:30-- and a great race. Thank you to all the competitors and track staff as well, especially the ever entertaining "Speedway Man." A very enjoyable and exciting evening. Tom

I wasn't there, but it seems that Hunter has had his share of bad luck lately. His time will come and I hope soon. Met him at the PAS a couple of years ago and he is a very nice young man and what a driver! Keep chargin' Hunter!
