ASCT race

Does anybody know if the ASCT got the race in last night? Looks like from all the postings on here, most tracks got rained out after starting some heat races :22:

This is only Monday. High level (top secret) info like that usually isn't cleared for release until much later in the week. Please be careful, requests of that nature tend to cause testy responses. I checked ASCT and track web sites and nothing. Guess if they don't care, why should the rest of race fans????? The PR company took enough interest to post that they were going to run, why not state if they rained out or what happened?

Re: ASCT race

Questionable weather forecast, a heckuva drive for most of us, and a one day event after the second leg was cancelled...........this all led to 4 cars showing up. All I know is they ran a heat and an exhibition feature. I don't even know who the 4 cars were.

I did not go for the same reasons listed above. It was almost 9 hours each way for us. I just can't do that for one show.

Im really hoping the race at Scott County is still a go for June 26th. Once again, it stinks that a 2 day deal is now 1 day, but I will be there anyway.

Pretty nice payday for four drivers then... If this was a standard pay out 1000, 700, 500 and 450. I bet there are some drivers now wishing they would have made the trip as well. :2:

My thought on this is if you guarantee a payout, you better pay it or you are gonna be out of business quick. It doesnt matter if you have 5 cars or 30. I was really excited about this series when it started and even purchased a car over the winter to run even though all i had was a 400 hp crate motor out of my latemodel to run in it to help the series with car counts and get some seat time. After the rule change allowing aluminum blocks I decided it was over before it started for me.
