nj state police do control auto racing in nj and they inspect the cars.
dont assume anything negative about what was up with casey....the cops sometimes accompany the inspectors, especially at a big show (free admission and donuts) they were probably just hanging around as the inspectors looked at cars.

It would seem we now have a winner! Yep just got the text message from Brad ... cannot believe, three for three! What a great run this week these guys are having! Very excited for them.

Congrats to Levi, but man he is killing me in the fantasy racing at shorttrackin. LOL I was 13th overall going into this week of racing not anymore.

In 2005 I shot a race in New Jersey. When a sprint car would flip, they would do an investigation, bring cruisers out on the track, and make quite the delay. I also remember at Bridgeport Speedway they had a "all people in the infield must wear white pants" rule. I am sure the locals could tell stories of all the regulations that go on there. This was a one car flip during the feature. It was a make up race ran during the day, as the November night time temps would have been too drastic to run during darkness.

yes sir!
bridgeport is a "dry" track and they also are paranoid about teams snesking people in inside the trailer so as you are pulling in, they make you stop and open the trailer door.....although SOME people have been known to hide in the cabinets!!
we pulled up to the gate one night and the guy went for the trailer door....i started blowing the horn and jumped out and told him not to open the door until i got there.....well, of course he thought i was trying to hide something....opened the door and came face to face with a snarling 120 pound rottie.....he quickly shut the door!!!!
i asked him if he needed to see anything else to which he replied "get the f##k outta here".....i thanked him for his time and pulled into the pits ;)
