Re: Grandview updates

That's a nice 50% increase over the 16 that were committed two days ago. And the weather cleared out before it had a chance to flood the "Hill".

Guess I should have hit the road this morning. Oh well, I'll be at Lincoln tomorrow.

Re: Grandview updates

I only posted those cars that entered and were making the trip from the Indiana area. More local cars showed up this year than last, including Johnny Mackison.

Tomorrow, we're supposed to pick up Brent Marks, and Casey Shuman will be trying to make it out after attending Jesse Hockett's funeral today.

Aero, times change when you have two youngsters. Plus, I'm not really into getting home around 1am and going to work. Lincoln tomorrow.

How come you're not in PA? :10:

First heat was shown, up to Armstrong's crash, then nothing. Hopefully only temporary.

Re: Grandview updates

We will actually show the feature event on a tape-delay. After we finish victory lane ceremonies, we'll play back the feature event in its entirety. Thanks!

Where are the last two heats?

Thanks ... I'll presume that a live stream of the event is not available ... too bad, enjoyed the first heat, always nice to be able to watch the evening unfold ...

Dean, Thanks for all of the hard work. Would much rather be there but as Aero said earlier Sometimes work gets in the way

apexonephoto 6/1/10 10:13 PM

Re: Grandview updates

Maybe it's time prohibitive to show the other two heats. I thought we were only getting the feature, so one heat's a bonus to me. I know Dean's a professional, but he's probably working his tail off to get stuff done.

Just a few years ago we had to pay and wait a week for the mail to come to find out who won....

Feature up now

Millsvideo 6/1/10 10:47 PM

Re: Grandview updates

Sorry for all the hassles tonight folks...We had multiple issues, including a clogged tape which caused us to miss heats 2 and 3, and a streaming issue for the feature. The video is up now showing the feature. I hope those of you who have been patient enjoy the show. We hope we can do a much better job the next time.

Sincerely,

Dean Mills

Re: Grandview updates

First off, GREAT job by USAC and Grandview for the way they Honored Jesse last night....Renamed this race the Jesse Hockett Classic, Before the National Anthem they played the Rockett Man by Elton John, (I had to put my dark sun glass' on when they played that, I run with a tough crowd) and did the missing man on the 4 abreast parade lap. GREAT JOB USAC and GRANDVIEW :9:...So young, so talented, so cool...R.I.P JESSE..:22:

Good job by the Grandview track crew for giving the USAC Boyz a great track last night. Got a little dirty in the feature, but NOTHING like the dust Grandview usually produce's..

I thought it was a great A Main..Good racing up front..I thought Windom had'em covered, nope Levi, no it's Windom again...Yep Levi....

Three nasty crashes. I hope Caleb, Jerry Jr and Shane are feeling fine this morning....All three were scary...

And last but not least, the ARDC Midgets put on a super show last night with 38? midgets packing the pits..Congrats to Buckwalter...

Lincoln tonight...Should be another great show...I'm off to the track..:32:
