Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Does anyone know which track I should attend on Sunday Night 5/30/2010? Kokomo or Tri-State? Which one will have the most cars, best cars and drivers? Which one do you think will have the best racing. Having trouble making up my mind on which one to attend provided I am able to attend either. :15:

Kokomo would be your best bet, J.M.O.

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
I've been to both tracks. The racing is great at both. I'm partial to Haubstadt since it was the track I grew up going to. I don't really see how you could go wrong either way.

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
I have been to both tracks a few years back. Yes both tracks are great! Since a lot of USAC guys will be in Anderson Saturday night, I was trying to find out if any or most would go to one or the other on Sunday night? Thanks for your replys

I prefer TSS. Always a good show there and I have already heard there will be better drivers since there is a bigger payout

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Anderson is a LOT closer to Kokomo than TSS. And you will be out of Kokomo early!

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Both tracks are about 2 1/2-3 hours away. TSS has a higher purse but Kokomo is closer to anderson for the Cars and Drivers. :15: :15:

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
go to tss if you like to watch a tractor parade!! nothin comes close to kokomo!

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Looking forward to TSS and seeing Kyle Cummins in the family owned 3C again. With the purse, I would expect a high car count at Haubstadt. Its a shame that TSS and Kokomo are going head to head. Two of the most exciting and raciest tracks in the country! Wherever you go, you will see quality racing.

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Hard call, both will be good... for car count and racing, I'd have to give the edge to Haubstadt

Does anyone know what drivers may be at Kokomo or TSS? Any USAC drivers attending either one?

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Cant lose with those choices. Both have awesome racing.
Kokomo usually two grooves, great racing. TSS when right is a sight to behold and slidejob city, not just in sprints either. May have more names with a 3000 top prize. |

Does it really matter just go to either one ENJOY the show and have a GREAT time!! Its all about supporting your "local" race tracks anyway. Kokomo & Haubstadt both will have great fields it just a matter of where you want to go now? Pick one and have FUN!!!!

I had to look twice, and I seen it...did this guy really just question Chuck Gurney Jr? |
Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Just remember USAC teams have their first race in PA on June 1st. After many of them are doing multiple events this week and being in Iowa last weekend, I really wouldn't be surprised if some were taking the night off.

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Bryan Clauson told me he wouldnt be there

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
This is a question that has a very simple answer.:15: Which ever track you choose, it will provide you with a great night of racing.:6: I have been to both on numerous occasions so pick one and enjoy. You can't lose no matter which direction you travel.

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Flip a coin. Both are great. If it matters to you, I asked Shane Cottle in the autograph line at Anderson if he was going to be a Kokomo Sunday and he said he was. If you want to see the now TWO TIME Little 500 champ, come to Kokomo.

Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
I had made the decision to go to TSS. Wife does not feel like going and I really dont want to make the trip by myself. Could not find anyone else to go so guess I will sit this one out.
Maybe someone will do updates. Thanks for all those who replied!!!!! |
Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Not going to now :10:

Just so you know, Kokomo will no doubt be starting at least an hour later than their usual fairly early start time due to allowing 500 attendees to make it back. But they will run it through usually pretty well and still be out at a reasonable hour. Doubtful they will have much in between track prep. They seemed to do more with less and have track prep down to a fine art. I know they have been watering about 2 truck loads every day since wednesday. |
Re: Sunday Night 5/30/2010
Have received word that Hendrick, Short, Cramer, Babcock, JS, Adam Nigg, Gaines, and a couple others are alread at TSS. Also expect Cone, Bland, and Cummins that I know of.
