This sounds like a great event but I do have a bone to pick. Why do the people who put the show on for the fans have to pay $30 to get in? How about picking another night and making pit passes $15 as a racer appreciation. Just a thought.

I have to work this night but will do my best to get out of it. Either way thanks for honoring a great person in a really great way. Anyone can stick a name on a race but you are really making an effort to make it a special night and that's awesome.

Thanks everone, Tim Johnson and the entire Johnson family get credit also. Tim is helping me out alot for this race, he really wants to pack the place and pay out the racers well, the way Mel would have wanted it.
Mel Johnson taught me everything i know about promoting a speedway, and much more. I was blessed to meet such a great person, and i am still blessed to have the Johnson family working at the track each and every day.
I am very excited about this event and hope its a huge success.
Sincerely, Dave Rudisell
