Prelude to a Dream
If Tony would do us all a favor and change from Late Models to Sprint Cars what driver would have the best chance of winning?

Re: Prelude to a Dream
Stewart or Schrader out of that group....can't see some of those other guys strapping in to a sprinter --- ever.

Re: Prelude to a Dream
You got that right. There mostly pretty boy`s.

IF it ever could happen, and Dave Blaney could sneak into the track...
I do believe a good number of NASCAR guys could be competitive with each other. Maybe not at USAC/WoO laps, and the payoff would be seeing who else goes back out after the first one of them dumps it. I'll cheer for them the rest of the year. Posted via Mobile Device |

Prelude to a WET Dream.:10: They would look like Hewitt & McSpadden when they hit turn 1 in Hot Laps:5::5: Car Owners would SAY :21: :26:

Re: Prelude to a Dream
As much as I like pavement racing (it sure beats most other sports), I remember last year reading a Joey Logano interview after he first tested a dirt late model and he was saying how driving on "mud" was so fun!
Those are the times I side with the hardcore purists. I really couldn't imagine too many of these guys getting in a sprinter either. I would think a year of modifieds would be a little safer. |

Blaney, Stewart, Kahne and Gordon. Newman stinks on dirt.
|
Re: Prelude to a Dream
Kasey Kahne, Tony, Ryan Newman, Jeff Gordon
Wreck of the night: Robby Gordon (guy has grapefruit sized attachments) Kyle Busch would be a wild card. Dave Blaney would walk if given good equipment, |
Re: Prelude to a Dream
If some Nationwide drivers were invited. Justin Allgaier, Jason Leffler, Josh Wise, Ricky Stenhouse and Mike Bliss would make good showings.
|
Bush can't think. He would be the first one to drive into turn 1 wall

I do think they should consider having a sprint car race of guys who only have open wheel experience. I think that would draw a different crowd. Maybe slipped in around the 4 crown. Quote:
He's driven a late model at Williams Grove and a mod at the dirt track in Vegas. I've seen plenty of people make bad choices off the track, I for one think his talent outweighs his stupid comments. No I don't think that means he should be a goof any chance he gets. |

He was on it in Bloomquist's LM a year or two ago. He put a monster truck together for a couple of shows this year. I'm trying to talk myself into watching that. On tv though. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Prelude to a Dream
I think Allgaier is a good open wheel driver, especially in a midget. In fact, I talked to him once and he told me that midgets are his favorite thing to drive. He has had some good showings in a silver crown car too. Kyle Busch is not my favorite by any means, but I would like to see him in a sprinter.

Re: Prelude to a Dream
Stewart would do it. I can 't see anyone else having the testicular development to drive a sprint car at Eldora. Most of these guys would have too much to lose if something happened.
|
Re: Prelude to a Dream
I would love to see them run sprints. But, Tony would have to cover his butt and have the drivers sign a waiver and put in a higher catch fence.

Rob said they wore out 6 drivers and nothing significant broke. He was pretty pumped about the new rig and going head to head with Grave Digger. |
