Gas city?
What's everybody think about the tonite at gas city with that big green blob moving that way?
|
Re: Gas city?
does not look good! Calling for 100% today and 30% between 4pm and 7pm. You never know with Indiana weather, one minute it's raining and the next is sunshine! I'm sure they will do everything possible to get the race in.
|
Re: Gas city?
Just looked at the weather. The highest percentage is 30% at 6:00 pm. There is a big gap between the weather systems. See you all there.

Re: Gas city?
Radar presently looks like it is breaking up. They should get some rain this afternoon but the forecast has it ending early so I would imagine that it will be a go. At least I plan on going. Hope to see some of you there.
|
Re: Gas city?
Do they let you go in the pits for $1.00 before warm ups like they were last year?

Raining pretty hard in Fort Wayne. We've had a fair amount this morning.
Anybody any closer have any reports? Hope we can get it in tonight!!!! |

Ughhh.....decisions, decisions :15:

Re: Gas city?
I'm in Kokomo on Markland Ave. Its a straight shot to Gas City and its been raining for 25 minutes, but it just stopped. Not a real hard rain but still rain.
|
Re: Gas city?
Had 3-4 drops in Kokomo an hour ago. Really can't tell from the latest radar what will happen. I'm headed over. Of course, I have already come 240 miles and that is just another 30 or so, so what the heck. If you want to go with my luck, however, I have already been rained out 4 of the 8 outdoor races I have gone to this year.

Re: Gas city?

---------- Post added at 01:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:36 PM ---------- last week you could go into the pits for free as long as your signed the release, until the drivers meetings was called!! |

Re: Gas city?
The radar is showing the front moving right on through. Looks clear behind it which means cooler temperatures for tonight. It should be a great night of racing at the Gasser!:6:

Re: Gas city?
Rains gone, they are working the track. They are letting the rigs in the pits.

Re: Gas city?
Doesnt get any better than than that race.Im glad they work the track in before the feature. It sure is worth the wait.Great clean race.
|
Re: Gas city?
Anybody got any more info? Or where can I go to get results. Thanks
|

Go to gas city I-69 speedway website and the results are there.

Re: Gas city?
Well run show....feature was over around 10 even with track re-work. The re-work was worth the little bit of wait. Good decision...made a big difference. I don't think the feature would have been that great without it...tough day for track prep beforehand due to not knowing how much rain would come and the high winds. Great battle up front....think Stanbrough might have had something for Hines with more laps....nice job by Tracy holding him off. :22:

Re: Gas city?
Tracy drove a great race and really earned that one. Because after that last caution, he had some serious pressure put on him by Jon and somehow held him off. Also, just a furious run at the end by Scotty Weir, after losing several positions in the early part of the race. He's been exciting to watch this year. Then Levi showed why he is the perennial favorite to win the sprint title, as he moved up through the top 5 late, to snatch a good finish in the race's last few laps. As someone else said, great save by the track crew. Their rework provided a great surface, for an exciting feature!

Re: Gas city?
Any idea's on why 67k isn't running up to speed? Is age of driver making a differance or does his style not mesh with bullet chassie? does he miss Gearte power? Just wondering? has been fast only a little so far this year.. And had a very dissapointing night at Gas City..
