What a race for the season opener. :8: Drag race out of turn 4 to the checkers. :18: What a cagey vet is my boy Darland. :9: This was one of those races where the guy in second might have had an advantage on the final lap.

Susan, you'd of loved it. DD put his nose under Demon in one and two, Demon kinda went on a block down low in three and four and bobbled a bit, DD had the big stones tonight and kept it on the wall out dragging Damion by about a half a car at the line. Robert Ballou hung on for third though at times seemed just as fast as the leaders.

Special dips to Windom who started fourteenth and finished fourth.

Oh and Brenda Darland has a new set of Diamond Ear rings if DD don't pierce his own first :) Dave also gave his trophy to a young man named A.J. who drew his outside front row starting spot.

Killer race and Classy Winner!!!!!! :8:

Look for some highlights including pacing the field on jackslash.com

Just got in from da Burg. Marv and Chuck pretty much summed it up. DG & DD had the crowd on its feet coming off of four to the checkers.:6: A great way to open the season on the 60th Anniversary Edition.:8: Racegal, you would have been screaming.:3:

Section A was a little light on IOW folks tonight. Marv, Gregg, Sprintcar Dave, and myself held down the fort. Maybe next week the reinforcements will arrive.;)

Then a reinforcement i shall be this Saturday at the Burg! Things are looking good for us to take in all 3 USAC shows this weekend. Hopefully my Dad can come along cause he's never seen the Burg or Kokomo yet. We will be watching the weather during the week and then make the decision. I do have vacation from work on Friday and Monday so i'm looking forward to it. I'm bringing the cheese! :32:

Well maybe.....but Tim, I think of you more as a "visiting dignitary", especially if you're bringing the cheese. I can almost feel my aorta tightening up as I type. :18:

Sad to report that Section "A" favorite, the lovely Cherie was not amongst those hawking 50/50 tickets last evening. :15: The word I got is that she tired of being the object of excessive ogling from DannyB and the Packer of Mud. ;):2:;)

Tim,

You and your friends are always welcome in Section A at da Burg. Just remember you have to put your reservations in early with one Mister Fishburger.

My punishment is every time I am there I buy 50/50 tickets. ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU SELL ME THE RIGHT COLOR TICKET.:15::19: I know that they send up different colors for Section A. Yes, I did notice that the lovely Cherie was not in the house. Maybe my luck will change when she returns, although I guess it can't get any worse.:5::17:

Visiting dignitart? Wow, that's a heavy analogy. Might have to look the word dignitary up in the dictionary! I hope that doesn't mean i have to behave myself?

We will probably shoot for section 8 (i mean A) but we might go a bit higher than the regulars cause my Dad will be doing video and he will want to be up as high as we can get so he can stand up while taping the races. I will catch you guys on the way up though. :6:
