With this increase we are now the highest paying sprint car track in Indiana. We will aslo have added bonuses throughout the 2010 season(such as this saturdays race when all of the feature winners will win diamond earings valued at $400) thanks to Kim Rudisell and her hard working marketing. We thank all of our new and returning sponsors for joining Lawrenceburg Speedway and their great support of the track. Please checkout our website to see all of the 2010 sponsors and show your support by visiting them.
Our 60th Anniversary is shaping up to be the best season ever!!
See you all Saturday!!

Well the increases start at the bottom, we was paying $225 to start all the way to 9th place, so now you get a bit more money for each position. there is also some money added on up. Its not a ton of money but its more. Hopefully things go well and we will be able to afford to pay out more. It takes alot of effort from everyone to increase any purse at any track.
What can the readers here do to help? Call, e-mail or write a letter to the sponsors. go to each tracks website and look at their sponsor pages and click on the links, look at their sites and send them feedback for supporting the tracks. Also do the same for the drivers sponsors.
All the tracks work very hard to prove to sponsors that racefans are very loyal to the sponsors of racing. Please take some time to thank them and even better buy from them or use the services they provide.

Thanks for your time, Dave Rudisell

Dave and the entire Lawrenceburg staff do a great job. This just reinforces that Lawrenceburg is one of the best, if not THE best track in Indiana. I had a fantastic time filming races there last year, and hope to be back again this year. Dave, what do you think??

This Dave Rudisell is doing such a great job on here, I may just have to make myself drive down there... Those that know me, know that I dont drive very far for any racing, but I am seriously tossing around this Saturday and the April USAC Show. Being in Kokomo I dont have to drive to see great racing, but I am feeling more obligated to support this guy and his track for such great work on his track and here. Keep up the good work, cus if you are getting me to travel you are definately doing something right!! :8: :6:

Ty,

I doubt you would be disappointed. Dave and his staff do a great job in providing a quality racing experience. I travel to Kokomo every Sunday night and I know what you mean about the racing there. With that being said, I also travel to Lawrenceburg on a regular basis to see exciting racing at the Burg. You owe it to yourself to get down to the Burg and see some exciting action. I am sure you will be impressed with the facility and the friendly crew that Dave has put in place. If you do make it there, stop by Section A and visit with the IOW gang. It is open for everyone.

With everything I have been told and read, I know the action is great there! I just HATE to drive for any sort of distance. Being from Kokomo and 5 mins from the track I get spoiled. I think driving to Gas City is long sometimes :5:

Mowerman is prolly going to pass out when he reads I may drive down there :3: He has been on me to hit some more tracks for a while.

I am getting a jacked up like a kid waiting for Xmas morning to see some sprints!

just turn on the lights and sirens.... you'll be there in no time!!!!!! Seriously tho TY, you owe it to yourself to go to the Burg and check it out. Thanks to $$$$ form the casinos the facility is top notch and Dave and his crew do a great job preparing for all the nights festivities. Go early and walk around checking everything out and visiting. There is always "something" goin on!

6th place was $300, you may have been at a bigger race like the KISS race or the Dick Gaines race, in which it pays more.
Thanks,Dave

American Sprint Car Tour (Steel block Sprint cars) vs. Lawrenceburg Speedway

$1,500 1. $1,500
1,000 800
725 600
625 450
525 350
450 320
425 310
400 300
375 290
350 280
325 270
300 265
275 260 This is the payout for the top 14 positions ASCT $250 start and L'Burg 225 to start.

You would have to race very hard to get 5th at L-Burg for only $350! compared to $525 for a steel block series. L-Burg is a big track and can be very difficult on equipment! I thought this was interesting!

Thanks!

Thats not the purse at every ASCT race....according to their website they show a couple that pay 700 to win and 200 to start, and 1200 to win. I'm not knocking this group,in fact I wish them well, but your post sounds as that is the payout at every race....and their schedule covers 6 states. Lawrenceburgs purse is EVERY race

We do not charge a entry fee either, and our pit pass is $25.
Not sure of your motive here....Good luck!!!:2:

Dave, the racers appreciate the increase. Every little bit helps keep some of these guys going. It's a good weekly purse and we don't have to traval all over the midwest to get it. I wouldn't worry about some obscure series that pays a little more. Also, I used to think $25 for a pit pass was a lot. After Vernon last week, it looks like a bargain! :3:

They were paying $4,000.00 to win. ;)
