Tri-State Speedway Schedule released

The Tri-State Speedway schedule is posted at http://tristatespeedway.com/events08.html.
I noticed that the May 10 midget date has disappeared.

I heard their was a problem with the co-sanctioning, so the midget portion of the race was pulled. I seen that the POWERI have already scheduled another race for that date at Lil Belleville.

Still looking forward to this show

Have read the comments about the midget date on the 10th being cancelled but the other question is I am glad to see the added race on the end of september for 10,000 and had heard this was supposed to be a co-sanctioned race for the sprints and now it is open race. Thanks Tom for adding some more non-wing dates this year looking forward to the shows.

So i'm guessing you have never seen a race at Tri-State Speedway?? After that comment i know for sure you were not at the MSCS/KISS race that some writers, fans, and drivers were calling the best race of the year the way Jon and Daron put on?? Tri-State Speedway is one of the best prepared tracks in the country.

Andrew,

The downside to that date is that it is the night before the Sunday afternoon USAC show at Winchester, but I'm glad to see some late season racing at Haubstadt again. Also, we have the conflict with the DuQuoin Silver Crown race on Aug. 31. I wouldn't mind seeing DuQuoin go back to an afternoon schedule. That would solve this situation.

Any sprint car race at Tri-State has the potential to be the race of the year. There may only be 10 or so but they will surely be good especially if a certain Modern Day Cowboy is there.

You get conflicts with every schedule that now comes out, Ron. Tri State conflicts a couple times with Little Belleville for me,and I really like the both of them. So that will be difficult to choose on which to go to,except for the sprintweek date!

Jason yea I have been going to Haubstadt for the last oh lets see say 27 years. I guess I need to be more elaborate when I post the next for the ones who didn't get it this time. I just felt like they could have more races there than whats on the schedule like maybe going back to runnin evey week. I wasn't implying that the track was $hitty if I was it would have said Haubstadt=$hitty. Now you can get off my back and go back to scheduling more races. :headbang P.S. oh by the way I think was there for that show!

I remember all of them quite well. Richard Jackson still attends races a few times a year. I see Don Nordhorn occasionally at DuQuoin or the Hoosier Hundred. Larry Miller really had Haubstadt figured out, but I don't believe he won much at other tracks. I believe Kieth Ford still owns that #22 that Larry drove to so many victories.
