Super Duke on the Wall at National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Museum
1 Attachment(s)
NSCHOF had a reception last night for Ralph Capitani and P. Ray Grimes, two of three promoters at Knoxville Raceway since 1954. Saw this photo on the way out of the second floor reception area.
Duke, I presume those were Firestones. Also, where was it shot at? |

Super Duke, was Willie really a race fan? Or was this just another Duke Cook promotion?

oops.
WALKUP. WALKUP, WALKUP, OK. What happened with you and WALKUP? BTW, came across a photo the other day in the office of the aftermath of a crash where the cage was ripped off of Joe Saldana's Amerling Special #16. There you are, Duke, in the background wearing a driving uninform and your Billy Jack hat. Joe was driving that car when he won the Hulman Classic in 1973. Do you remember this Duke? Must of been Knoxville, but you really can't tell. |
