Re: Season Opener @ Twin Cities This Saturday!
it was a good race. way to dusty though, it was black after the first heat. It was to bad for Bland I thought he was going to get Short in another lap or two. Glad to see Short win it. Looked like East was a little upset with the flag man.

Re: Season Opener @ Twin Cities This Saturday!
crammer clipped shuman at the line for 3rd. so it was short then grant then crammer then shuman.
|
Re: Season Opener @ Twin Cities This Saturday!
imo i think east was upset because he was hit from behind before he even got past the cone on the restart and he lost control of his car enough for the yellow to come out and it didnt intill he got to the back stretch. it was either east or the black 51 ran out of gas with 2 to go. and by the way i wish shuman would of started closer to the front because it would of been heck of a race between him and short. Shuman had the bottom figured out which almost anybody else couldnt do on every lap

Re: Season Opener @ Twin Cities This Saturday!
questioned the tire changing under red and was told this is the rules at Twin Cities and i needed to check the web site ! The guy said you don't even have to have a flat , you can change tires under red any time as long as your back out before the green !AND you get your spot back !! SO , when Boespflug had flat left rear under last red we change the damn tire...

Re: Season Opener @ Twin Cities This Saturday!
It was hard for the guy getting the cars in line on the track while he was holding a walkie talkie in one hand and the flag in the other. As said before, get a chalk board. At least an additional 15 -18 laps during the feature trying to get the correct lineup. Not complaining at all, just an observation. Sitting in the sun, hearing race cars and smelling racing fuel after a long winter was AWESOME. I think we just have to give them a little time to get things straight and I will definitely drive down from Kokomo again. See you at Eldora.

Re: Season Opener @ Twin Cities This Saturday!
i agree but if they say thats the rule then , when in rome you do as the romans do. They also have a rule that says if you take the green and cars crash before the first lap is in the book then the cars can restart back in their original spot. so if you don't get a good start you can pull up and stop then get your spot back on the restart ! I beleive there were a few scoring problems too , some cars that finished in top ten only got there because of a gift from scoring. Hope they get their act together before the big show on the 3rd.

I guess what I don't get is that if they let two cars come to the pits change tires, they could have just have easily opened the red to allow other teams to make changes as well. Even something as simple as changing a left rear tire can be an advantage for some cars/drivers sometimes, especially if your get you spot back on the track. Maybe I'm over thinking it though... |

Re: Season Opener @ Twin Cities This Saturday!
First of all, I would like to thank all the Drivers, Pit crew and Fans for attending last night at Twin Cities.
As for the red flag issues, our track rules state that if a car goes pit side under red, that car may return to the track and receive his/her spot back if they return under red. That is why Riggs received his spot back. As for Boesflug, he went pit side under red but returned under yellow. That is why he did not receive his spot back. And after further thought I do understand the advantages and disadvantages of this rule. Therefore before the "NO WAY OUT 40" there will be some rule changes that will be geared towards the Sprint cars. RACECIEVERS will be MANDATORY for the "NO WAY OUT 40" on April 3rd. And to Bobby East..... I apologize for the lengthy cautions that may have caused him to run out of fuel. Hopefully the changes we will make will help for a better show on April 3rd with the "NO WAY OUT 40". We appreciate our fans and drivers and want to do our best to make improvements for everyone! Re: Season Opener @ Twin Cities This Saturday!
Thanks from a fans viewpoint that you came on here, explained how the rules worked and showed a willingness to adjust those rules for a completely different class of cars than what you normally run. At least you are trying..
