When somebody adds a post to a thread, just to send it back to the top of the board.

I think bumping a post looks more like this
"BUMP"
"TTTT"
Saying congrats to a driver or thanking someone for a post is acceptable.

Re: Do not bump posts.

Bumping posts are when people make a post by typing BTT (back to top), TTT (to the top), or simply typing the word bump.

Bumping posts is done by people who want to promote or advertise things... They use the web traffic that this board gets as free advertising. It is part of the forum rules and has been for a long time.

So if we have a classified ad and are not using it for commerical needs can we still do that? As long as you are not someone using it for advertisement for a business or a product then what's the problem? Thanks Bill.

I handle most matters privately. If you don't get a message from me then it is not an issue.

This is a serious problem, even in NASCAR. I was watching the race yesterday and they were talking about "bump stops".:17:

Sorry, couldn't help it.:3:

Bill, did you mean the "bump stops" here? That's what I read, when I read the rules, for use of this website. Bob

I think this Bill guy advertises on the board so it is OK to BUMP it up one more time from here.

Bill hope you are having a great day.
