I guess they made the agreement with USAC today. I checked Racecast.com around 10am this morning & it wasn't on the schedule. I spoke to Racecast on the phone Monday, & they didn't have an agreement yet.
I seen now the USAC AD $24.95 for Video coverage, GREAT. Racecast has great Video Quality, on Broadband.

Correct. The archives are usually up 4-6 hours after the LIVE broadcast.

Do we have to register to watch the free practice and qualifying? also, if we do, do we have to put in credit card information at that point?

racefan20 2/8/10 3:16 PM

Re: RaceCastLive.com to broadcast USAC @ Eastbay Raceway Park

How long do I have to watch it on archive?

racinstacie 2/8/10 3:20 PM

Re: RaceCastLive.com to broadcast USAC @ Eastbay Raceway Park

Just want to clarify a few questions...

Is the 4 hours pretty much a one night rate? Is it consecutive hours? And is the 1 hour whatever hour I choose to click in? If I'm thinking of just watching the feature event only each night.

Nevermind - I read the FAQ's and answered my questions - sorry! :)

Yes, you have to register to watch the FREE.

A Credit Card is NOT needed unless you want to watch the PPV.

Clarification please, 24.95 each night, or just once for all 3 nights? Wish it didn't matter to me, which it wouldn't if I was there, dang.

Re: RaceCastLive.com to broadcast USAC @ Eastbay Raceway Park

After reading the previous messages, I figured, what the hell, I'll try it. I clicked the Purchase tab. It displayed a list of races. I clicked the USAC box. It displayed an ad. Up in the corner was a Register tab, so I clicked it. That looked promising, so I filled in the blanks. It displayed a dialog that said my username was already taken (my email address?). Before I could do anything, it displayed another one that said I was registered.

But, I can't log in. I just got an email that it has charged my credit card. I'll contact the bank to cancel it in the morning. Isn't it amazing that part of the web page worked?

Mine is 4532 kbps My video has not froze up the entire night.

Re: RaceCastLive.com to broadcast USAC @ Eastbay Raceway Park

This is from the Racecastlive website....

CAN MY COMPUTER HANDLE THIS?

It depends on many factors. MOST newer model PCs with a decent internet connection can handle the stream. It is a combination of your internet connection, having updated software, and not running too many programs. To test your internet speed check at: www.speedtest.net. It is recommended that you have a DOWNLOAD speed of at least 1 MBPS (1000 Kbps) or more to properly view the stream

Mine tested at 545kbps. How can I increase it?

Bill Gardner 2/8/10 11:10 PM

Re: RaceCastLive.com to broadcast USAC @ Eastbay Raceway Park

that might be all you can get... your internet service provider determines that.

When your watching the video... make sure you are NOT using other programs that require the internet connection. If you are trying to watch video and clicking on IOW... that will reduce your speed and contribute to your screen freezing.

Everything worked great ,
4 hours of racing
only thing we needed was the warm weather

Re: RaceCastLive.com to broadcast USAC @ Eastbay Raceway Park

My speedtest is 15mbps and I froze up during the long commercial periods (right before the A-main).

The only way I could get out of it was to open task manager and end the task, then re-open the session again. After that I just logged back in and I resumed watching.

This happened twice during the commercial breaks.

No problem during the race action and that was excellent. $24.95 is a hell of a lot cheaper than driving to FL.

Question: I just looked at the weather forecast and they are calling for rain tomorrow night in Tampa. Will USAC do like the late models and run two shows in one day? If not, can we carry one night of the package over to the All Star show on Thursday?

Re: RaceCastLive.com to broadcast USAC @ Eastbay Raceway Park

I had no issues what so ever with the feed. I had IOW and USAC Live feed open as well as many other webpages. Love the instant replay. The best part is I can go back and watch it at anytime, if I understand everything correctly.
