Bob, I assume that was the same Little Champ stations that were here back in those days?

Thanks, Danny, I know Tom well, we were in high school together, and he worked at the 66 station, at 46, and McClure Rd, I think, you know how memory tricks ya now and then. I did run into him and his wife, maybe 8-10 yrs ago, here in Seymour, at the Airport Cafe, didn't really get to talk long, they got there as we were leaving. Thanks for the reply, Ole Duke looks awful comfortable in that car, looks like he's "havin fun". Bob

Great shot D.O., I remeber that car, and Duke always looked at ease in a Champ Car.

Dickie Edwards promoted it as a tribute to Jud Larson.

That really was a nice lookin' race car! :6:

I got to sit in it (at least once that I can remember), and Duke gave me a T-shirt of his with that car on it, that I wore proudly.

Dad took me to my first Hoosier 100 back when Duke had that car.

It was really cool watching the race from the infield.

I loved seeing the long/big cars...flashy paint jobs and lots of chrome. It was also cool hearing the guys work the throttle through the big sweeping turns, and then hearing them 'stand on it' down the straights!
