We lost a True Race Fan
"Tom Thumb" Jennings passed away today at 1:13pm today. Peacefully.
He was a big fan of all the racers, loved announcing races and a good friend to everyone. We will miss him at the Gas City pit gate. Rest in Peace dear friend. Bob, Monica and Jade |

Mr. Tom wasn't just arguably one of Kevin's biggest fans in his sprint car stint, he was also, in more ways than I can possibly count, TRULY part of our team. |
Re: We lost a True Race Fan
BC, Kevin Besecker and some other drivers may have just lost one of their most loyal race fans, but Dick Gaines and Dizz Wilson's team just got one of their best race fans back. Enjoy the races up there, Tom. R.I.P.

Not a surprise, but man, it still hurts.:13:
Tom's suffering is over. |
Re: We lost a True Race Fan
R.I.P. Mr. Tom, While we all know the kind of fan Mr. Tom was to all the racers my fondest memory will be of the time he came to watch Taylor (my Daughter) play soccer for a weekend. We were in Dayton and there was Mr. Tom with his chair in the cold cheering like it was 3 wide for the checkered... Thank You Mr. Tom for being our friend not only while we were at the races but away as well. You will be missed !

Re: We lost a True Race Fan
I don't think there is a driver that met Tom that didn't feel like he was one of their biggest fans. We made the long tow to gas city this year and Tom was there immediately to greet us. He knew how long it had been since he had seen me race and remembered where I had finished that night. I took his word for it.
He was just not a fan of sprint cars but appreciated any of us out there trying our best. He will be missed as he was a true racers friend. |

Tom was a great person in addition to being a big race fan..I ALWAYS enjoyed talking to Tom..He was a positive, cool guy.
I sat with him at the 24 hours of Eldora... This does remind you of Dwight Clock...a person I wish I had met. Godspeed my friend. Tony Barhorst www.rumbleseries.com |
