Just wondering with all the PR that the PPV has been doing on Speed & HBO and everywhere else. Just how many IOW's will watch tonight and where home or a bar?
With all the TV spots NASCAR & Speed are really pushing this to the nation. What wil the total number of viewers be??

I'm watching at a friends house with 8 people.

Just wondering how many of us are doing that?

Out here in Calif, we have a few people gathering at a friend's and of course we'll be having the obligatory chili. I'm sure folks all over the country will be tuning in to this. I attended the race in 05. What an experience.

I'm watching it tonight with 3 or 4 buddies at my house.

I've already got it tuned to channel 124 on DirecTV, listening to the preview loop over and over. :emote20:

Watching with a few IOW'ers at McGilvery's 30th & High School on the westside of Indy. I'll also get to catch glimpses of the NE/Jacksonville FB game at the same time. McGilvery's is serving a Chili buffet with several different kinds of Chili. Hmmm might get a little gamy in there towards the end of the night :emote20:

My wife and I will be watching at home. Insight agreed to let me have it for the $9.95 that was at first displayed on the screen. They changed it to $24.95 two days after I bought it.

The Corner Bar in the small town of Bradford, OH, app. 20 miles from Eldora Speedway will be having the Chili Bowl PPV on tonight. During the race they will have .35 wings and $1.50 bottled beer. Anyone in the Bradford, OH area,, come on over.:thumb::clauson:

Watching on Dish Network here in Charlotte,Mi. with racing buddy Rod and our wives. Probably watch a few old racing video's before the 800 hp sprint cars get rolling.

Oredered it yesterday. We are having some friends over and having wings and beer, pop for the kids.

btw, the lady at comcast said not to wait until the hour before these Pay Per View shows come on to order or you might miss it.:thumbsdown:

We'll be watching it at home on Comcast. I ordered it over a week ago for $9.95. I hope that's what shows on the bill. A couple of our neighbors will be joining us. We'll be having pizza with ice cream with hot fudge brownies for desert.

Got the 56"DLP in the Garage. Also showintg it on the garage 27"tv and the other garage 27" tv will have the Pats game. BEER, CHILI, FRIENDS, RAC'N it does not get much better than that......... To bad the PPV is not in HD. Let's see The Fly'n Shu put'er in the show

There are plenty of us here in Australia and New Zealand that will be sitting around in silence while the Mains are on as we don't have access to the PPV. With the promoters decision not to allow audio either we are left in the dark and will have to rely on updates on the internet. Bad call by Lanny and Emmett! :(

I had a slight problem. When 6:30 came my screen went black after a promo for another event. I called Insight and the girl in Louisville reordered it and it came on. Apparently the fact that I had paid $9.95 instead of $24.95 had something to do with it. At least I've got a picture now.

After much grief, I will be watching this from my spider hole. Sadly, my nice big 11 month old TV puked today. I had to move my cable box to my older smaller TV. As a result, I will be watching the race from my spider hole (AKA my basement) in Central Ohio.

First the big screen power supply craps out and can't be fixed until the 18th.

Now the local Comcast provider in my area suffered "an outage of the pay per view system" about 1 hour ago. Now it looks like it won't be fixed before the event is over.....

But they are very sorry....... :thumbsdown: :crying: :censor: :headbang:

The biggest choice I have now is DISH or DIRECT TV.

I did the HBO thing and had my Dad and a buddy over for pizza and BEER. The 4 kiddies were in the room until my wife told them to get out and leave us alone. Man i love her! We just got done following that up with a 3 year crash DVD that my Dad has from his video at Sun Prairie. :Steer
