IOW members poll

Would you like to see a poll to vote on several catagories here at IOW? I was thinking "Driver of the year", "Rookie of the year", "Most improved driver of the year" "Promotor of the year", "Car owner of the year".
A post would be made for each catagory for 1 week asking for nominations. Then a poll would be created to include the top 8 nominees, also lasting for 1 week.
If this poll gets over 100 Yes votes I'll set it up.

This delegate from the grand and glorious community of The 'Burg, home of the Lawrenceburg Speedway, Seagrams 7 Crown, Schenley Reserve, and countless other bottled spirits, proudly casts the fifth vote in favor of a poll constructed by the honorable Z-Man.

Greg
That seems to be the local political trend around our area, vote to decide whether or not to vote. I didn't want to do the work if only a hand full of peeps would be interested. By just starting a poll without nominations I thought there would be more of :20: which leads to :15:
which for those that just read the posts may lead to :37:

What the hell, count me in. I will just have to make the time sacrifice between my winter alotment of potato chips, beer, football, racing videos, hunting and fishing shows, more chips and beer, moving from one end of the couch to the other, thick slices of summer sausage, pizza, more chips and beer, watching espn for no apparent reason, asking the wife what she is gonna make for dinner when she gets home from work, and going to the store to stock up on chips and beer.

They have all burrowed deep into the ground for winter, but if I can see one from my couch looking out the window, consider it dinner, hopefully I won't have my hands full of chips and beer

Re: IOW members poll

This is a fine idea, but just like the vote for the champions race at the chili bowl was a good thought, it could be ruined by a few people. A computer savey person can set their computer to vote and revote 24 hours a day as they see fit. If its one vote per person great and fair but to see numbers like 255,000 votes is not a true reading and not what the poll was all about to begin with. Thanks for the live feed and for computers and shame on thoes who profit from their misuse.

Well anyone can delete their cookies and vote again, The only way it could be done is to have a ID or IP recognition and that would severely limit the fraud.
