Re: Open Seat

How about Dakoda Armstrong. He plans to run the complete USAC schedule in the 2008 season. He led some of the Little 500 this year at 15 years old, then had mechanical problems, won at Orlando in the midget a few weeks ago with some very stong competition, ran a very strong second to Bryan Clauson at the end of last season at Anderson in the National USAC Midget event, has won on asphalt in the Kenyon cars at several tracks, youngest ever USAC Champion. He has struggled some on dirt but is very comfortable and fast on asphalt. This young man has done a fine job on the asphalt considering his young age. The 51 car enjoyed many successful seasons with Eric behind the wheel, I'm sure Dakoda would carry on where Eric left off. :thumb:

Marc Jessup. I don't know what his plans are for next year but he would be an awesome choice.

Most likely. He'll still be around the pits whenever he can though.

Donnie Adams Jr. would do well in that car.

Jerry Spencer 1/5/08 8:16 PM

Re: Open Seat

Josh Spencer would be a good pick, and yes he has won on the
pavement.

I would think that would make him a shoe in for a top 10 in USAC points. With a little testing higher than that.

Kirk Spridgeon 1/5/08 8:53 PM

Re: Open Seat

That top-ten is going to be awfully tough to crack.
Levi, Tracy, Hagen, Darland, Bacon, Sweet, Coons, Cottle, Gardner, Windom, Whitt, Ballou, Boat, Schuerenberg....Short?, Hockett?, Neely? and that is without a dirt-only guy like Stanbrough sneaking in there. I mean, Gardner ran every race this year and was still only tenth!!

I would have to peg Jessup, along with Kody Swanson and Aaron Pierce as your top guys on pavement who would be candidates for this ride...

Charles Nungester 1/5/08 8:59 PM

Re: Open Seat

Just a pull for Josh Spencer! Would love to be able to see him do the full deal and I think he can be very competitive.

Jessup, Neely, Jason Blonde, Jacob Wilson, Swanson, Tony Hunt, Dakota, Erica Santos, Tate Martz..........

Re: Open Seat

For the pavement, I would vote to make Jessup your first call.:thumb:

Is your avatar pic one of your creations. If so, then you're a regular Michael Angelo!

Rather than Randy, what about Newbomb Turk?

Hey Sam and e.g. I have a great idea !! why don`t we call the Little 5 car " The Pie Wagon " this year ? LOL the driver can be Dudley Laywicker LOL

Honest-Sam 1/6/08 11:00 PM

Re: Open Seat

I'm in! I only hope nobody confuses me for Dudley!

Re: Open Seat

I would like to see Jimmy Light or Mario Mandretti or a young up-and-comer get a chance in this ride! I think the boys at Banjo would be heroes if they took a chance with one of these drivers!
