Maybe he changed his mind?
You can always run at Brownstown Speedway, we pay $700 to win on a weekly basis |
Re: what ever happened to a mans word!!!!!

Re: what ever happened to a mans word!!!!!
you might think about converting it to a mod. then, you can run just about anywhere on any saturday night.

Re: what ever happened to a mans word!!!!!

Re: what ever happened to a mans word!!!!!
looks like it set in stone to me! the line up is pretty full! I do realize tht things could change but if they are why not do it now? as a promotor you know what u are going to run and what u are going to change but when you are told that we will run you (meaning the supers dirts) i would have hope too see at least one race!!!

Re: what ever happened to a mans word!!!!!
we dont have to convert super stocks to mods we already have 5 or 6 places to run already.. and now that where ump the burg may need us !!! :)

seadog you just did! :D i understand that there are other places to run but the burg is close to home all the other tracks are close to an hour away and racen on a budget makes it tuff to travel and try to be on the top of a loseing nite!

what ever happened to a mans word!!!!!
It went out with the checkered flag for winners. :checkered: I'm with Chuck on this. If Dave gave his word, I would bet he will keep it. He seems to be the last of a rare breed. |

Re: what ever happened to a mans word!!!!!
I spoke to Dave this week and his schedule is not set in stone nor complete and I'm pretty sure it says that on the website also. He said he is waiting for the other tracks to release their schedules before adding in dates for the super stocks so he can try to schedule them around brownstown, vernon and florence dates, so drivers running for points at those tracks would also be able to run the shows at Lawrenceburg.
Pretty smart if you ask me..... |
Re: what ever happened to a mans word!!!!!
He certainly is the last of a rare breed if he is making an effort not to schedule against other tracks and schedule dates that more people can come to. Far too much of that continues to happen, and in the last couple years it seems like it would take nothing short of a Festivus miracle to get promotors to work together and not schedule against each other. I'd really like to see some Super Dirt stocks/Sportsman races in northern Indiana. They put on some good shows in the southern half of the state, but they seem to be very few in number around here.
