Bloomington, Paragon too big for MMSA?

Do you all think that tracks like Bloomington and Pargon are too big for MMSA?

I think the 1/4 and 3/8 mile tracks are perfect for these cars. I can remember in the late 80's when USAC would let the 1200 mini sprints run with the midgets. Im sure these guys will put on a great show as well.:thumb:

Put me in the Couple races a year isn't gonna hurt nothing and give the drivers some experience at bigger track.

However running them every week or every other week for that matter is gonna annoy as many fans as it pleases.

Chuck, who just thinks it gets a little staggnant but has nothing against the teams or drivers of this class(S).

From JIM MORRISON
I still don't know what MMSA means.
I hate undefined alphabet soup.

UMRA. UMARA. USAC. CRA, SCRA. USAC-CRA, WoO. IRA, ASCS, NASCAR. TBARA.
?????????
State the full name first, and then shorten to the initials so people know what you are talking about -- especially with a new organization.

I think it stands for Midwest Mini Sprint Association, Jim.

With these being upright mini-sprints they are almost the size of a full midget, I say run them on the bigger tracks like that. It's where they really shine.

Chuck,

I am guessing from your post that you are not in favor of the mini sprints running so many races at the new Burg? I was down there watching the construction the other day and a friend and I were talking about how we thought the 3/8 would be too big for the minis therefore making for a boring show. Nothing personal to any of the winged mini drivers, just afraid that it is going to be boring on the 3/8. Looking for input from anyone who has seen them race much on a 3/8.

Happy new year,

Shane

IMHO the old track was way too big for em. It's wind em up and don't bobble racing and takes five laps to recover from a mistake. I don't hate em. It just isn't I go to see. Im not trying to bash anyone here but seriously The Legend Cars and some other classes I feel the same way about. Just a wind em till they blow situation in which the smoothest most non exiciting drive wins. Oh wait, sounds like Winged sprints.

I do kinda like the NW version but for the money these guys are sticking into this, It would be neater to have a STOCK NW MIDGET class or a 305-360 sprint class.

Some of my favorite drivers have come from the Mini's I don't mean to dissrespect them but a three to four race schedule at the burg every year seems to turn into about 10-12 shows and there something Me, My father and my brother have no interest in.

Chuck
