Thanks for the rain/snow date info in advance Jill. If you go to Sunday will it be a day or night race?

John,

I just got off the phone with Rob from the track and he said that it looked like if Friday's portion gets rained/snowed/colded out, then it would be a late afternoon Sunday show. He noted trying to get the cars on the track around 3 or so with the racing starting around 4 or 4:30. Saturday is looking good but cool, but Friday isn't looking overly encouraging as of now. Hope to see you there. If you make it, come up to the press box and introduce yourself to me. I'll be helping Rob out with the announcing again.

Oh I'll be there Brett, havent missed a Kokomo show yet this year. You've passed me a million times, I always sit at the top next to the Clausons.

This time get my attention. I always like to place a face with a name. Normally when I'm heading to the tower I'm thinking about 100 different things and don't pay much attention to what's going on unless somebody hollers at me. So get my attention. It's pretty cool to meet fellow IOWers.

Because of the weather we have decided to move Friday's program to Sunday Oct. 18th. Pit gate will open at 1:00pm, front gate at 3:00pm, hotlaps at 4:00 and racing approx. 5:00.
Saturday's program will remain the same.

Thanks,
Jill

There is a very strong possibility that “The Throttle” Shane Cottle will be wheeling a Late Model out of CJ Rayburn's shop on Saturday night. Come on out and see why Mr. Cottle is one of the most diverse race car drivers in country Saturday night at Kokomo.

I'll be there, for me personally ,Kokomo is the pefect size for midgets , I just wish it had a little more bank though. I would like to see even more midget racing there in the future.

This is a question that really doesn't have an answer but just a guess for me would be good enough. What time do you think the program will be completed on Sunday night.

I start work at 5:30 Monday morning so it would be tough. It's 5 hours for us for sure, more closer to 6 hours i think. Plus i have a pulled muscle in my back and i don't think i could handle the ride. Who knows what we might decide in the morning. :11:

Thanks for the time guess of when the sprint and midget features might be done.

As much as i would like to make one last road trip it's not going to happen. The weather looks good for today as the temps should just sneak into the low 50's. Anybody doing any updates from the track today?

Anyone know why Stanbrough stopped on the track then went to the pits? I thought he had a tire going down or something like that but I don't think they changed any tires. I'm just speculating about the tire thing but was just curious what happened. It was kind of odd that Stanbrough and Whitt stopped on the track at the same time. :11:

I thought I caught a glimpse of the red light being turned on when that caution came out for the get together in 4 which happened the same time Whitt jumped the tires in 2.

Re: Kokomo Klash 10/16 & 10/17

Stanbrough changed a right rear during the feature. I thought him and Meseraull must have got together down in turn 4 because Meseraull came to the pits on the hook at the same time. I'm not sure why Whitt stopped. He almost flipped in turn 2 but he gathered it up and made it around the track. I'm not sure why Whitt got his spot back either. When he stopped I figured he would have to go to the tail.

Whitt about dumped it on the back stretch , then stopped for a safty issue
then got his spot back , ran like a rocket ship then ?????
Think he got that adjust made while stopped .
Shane had them covered till then . ???????

Thanks Dick, I was wondering why he got his spot back. Was looking for you last night, and sorry I missed you. Dave

The reason why Cole stopped and got his spot back....was that the officials came over the race-cievers and called the red flag.
