Daily ticket price for DTWC
Dave, What is the cost to get in if you go and purchase a one day ticket, say Thursday and one Saturday.
Dave check your PM also. |
Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
Not sure about this year, but in the past there were no one day tickets. One ticket for all 3 nights.
|
Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
I dont think Dave has anything to do with the DTWC prices.....

Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
As per the DTWC web site it shows no single day sales If you want more info, you can contact Carl Short which is the promoter for this race at.
Ph# 865-945-3423 or carlshort@gmail.com |
Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
I called them and found out that the only single day ticket available is for Saturday. If you come Thursday or Friday and want to skip Saturday, you have to still buy a 3 day $50 ticket. Pit pass $60.
If you want to come Saturday only... $40. Gen. Adm. $50. Pit Pass |

---------- Post added at 07:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:11 PM ---------- This is not about tickets, but read this on a latemodel web site about the DTWC and it made me chuckle. Maybe we can convert more fans to sprints. It starts with a question, then three replies. I like the last reply.:22: This isnt Late Model related but im sure it would get more responses here than the Sprint board, but how many of the midget sprints do you guys expect to be there Thursday. Do they usually have good turn outs for just a regular show. Going to be making the trip early Thursday and sadly ive never seen these cars race. Thanks I'd say they'll have around 50 Non-Winged Sprints. Should a great car count figuring that Kokomo is sandwiched in on Friday night too. They are not Midget sprints, they are REAL 410 sprints with no wings, and they are freaking IDIOTS and drive the hell out of those cars EVERY lap. You have to see these guys in action and it will give you a WHOLE new Respect for that sport. |
Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
if you bought advanced tickets for 40 bucks for 3 days thats $13.33 per night. now thats a hell of a deal in my book. all the cars and stars in all the divisions is well worth a lot more.:6:

Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
Interesting. I know from working on both sprint and LM and even a bomber or three teams that.
1. LM fans and drivers like SPRINT CARS (Some more than others) 2. A lot of Sprint fans could care less about the fenders. However there are REAL RACE FANS :) Chuck, who likes both and both can put on a HELL OF A SHOW. P.S. DOn't forget the best kept secret, The LBURG MODS, RUNNING THREE WIDE. |
Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
I went to the DTWC at KC in 2007. 117 late models, I missed the mods on the Thursday. Well worth going. Friday had (6) 18 car heats and (3) C-mains
Saturday was (3) 24 car B-mains and the A-main. I'm getting married the week after, so I can't go. But I am going to Ventura at the end of the month for VRA Sprints! |

Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
Maybe one day someone will step up again and pay $50,000 to win for Non Winged Sprints.
Dont knock the show, its one of THE best shows in the business. And a great bargain for your racing dollar. If youre a true race fan, youre going to enjoy this one. |
Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
I can understand not going for the LM's but to diss em because sprints were invited to JOIN THEIR SHOW. I don't understand that. Go or GO NOT, THERE IS NO IF.
As far as I know, HARF, DARF and BARC and other FAN CLUBS ARE RACE FAN CLUBS, NOT sprint only or midget only ect. Chuck, who pays extra if its something special and leaves the bitchin at work :) |
Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
Where did I diss them. I was just sayin that its a little steep if you are only interested in the sprints. I'll go to Puttucky and see the sprints that night. No big deal. Guess I'm just not a true race fan in your eyes Chris, thought you had gotten over that line of thinking. I'm just fine with the races I choose to go see and when it comes down to it thats all that counts.

Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
Was planning on hitting the 5 (feature's only) deal this weekend at Grandview Speedway, but their calling for rain here in PA from Thursday to Sunday. Since there's already 4 heading out for Saturday only (:18:), I might ride along. How's the weather look for this weekend in Lawrenceburg Indiana.

Re: Daily ticket price for DTWC
Mopar Million was $80. It's really not any fair comparison between sprints and late models. I know every year there is a $100,000 to win, 4-5 $50,000 to win, 4-5 $30-40,000 to win and too many to imagine $10,000 to win late model races. A big sprint car show pays $10,000 so of course the admission would /should be less. It's all relative. I am certain Chris deals with all the die hard late model fans who he tries just as hard to convince how great non wing sprint cars are. As soon as Sprints were added to the DTWC, all I read about on 4m.net (a heavy dirt late model forum) is how sprints don't have starters, always flip, will make the show drag on forever, to many red flags...
I appreciate both, but in many parts of the country late models and mods are all we have. So I go to Indiana once a year to see some racing. |

THis is a simple case of someone turning something I said into the worst possible thing. Apex is correct, I tell everyone i can that is a Late Model fan to check out a Sprint Car show due to the complete thrill of watching those drivers go balls out for 30 laps. I promote BOTH aspects of the sport, because ive seen GREAT racing on both ends of the spectrum. At the DTWC youre going to see the best of the best in all three divisions, and the $50 is the best deal in racing for this event. $50,000 to win and $2,000 to start in the LM's. $5,000 to win and $300 to start in the Sprints, and $3,000 to win and I dont know how much to start in mods. for ONLY $50. The only sad part is, that Lawrenceburg may only hold this event for one year due to all the things that happened within the past month. BDS Promotions, the group that headed up Tyler County Speedway in Virginia and held Carl Shorts other race, the "Hillbilly 100" which paid $41,000 to win for Late Models left Tyler County and took over the reins of West Virginia Motor Speedway and moved the Hillbilly 100 there. Early rumors indicate that both the Hillbilly and the DTWC will be at West Virginia Motor Speedway in 2010. Dave and crew need EVERY bit of support they can to keep this event here in the state of Indiana. Enter the Sprint Cars, they knew that Indiana was THE hotbed for Non Winged Sprint Cars, good business decision. So lets keep this event IN Indiana. |

Mother Nature is wrecking havoc on another good weekend of racing. At home and afar...With the schedule change, as much as I want to see Late Model's on the high banks of the Lawrenceburg SpeedPlant, I think I have to pass. I prefer my racing under the cover of darkness. I'm sure its still going to be a good show though. DeanO' get down there and put it live on the NET...The Late Model's that is...;)
