Greetings From CA
Well we made it back to Northern CA today. Easier trip on the Southern route with the weather.
Picked up the race at Perris and boy was it a dandy, well worth the southern trip for it. We would like to thank all our friends for a wonderful summer. We will miss all of you during the winter. We'll be back in the spring and hopefully we'll have a warmer summer in 2010. All of you keep warm. Bob, Monica and Jade |

Re: Greetings From CA
I got my plane tickest organized for the Oval Nats, and will be there in a couple weeks. Will have to bring the rest of Jades doggie biscuits with me too. She's done real well this past summer with all the bribes. Will have to work on her some more next yr to only bark when Al is around. Whiskey Tom too.
Hope next summer is about 20 degrees cooler everyday so we can enjoy a Maine summer for a change. |

Re: Greetings From CA
Mowerman,
I can only assume NorCal for you is the Sacramento area? If I am right and you are looking for something to do this weekend, we are running the First Annual Combo Car Pavement Nationals at Shasta Speedway. Only dirt/combo cars need apply. We have racers from as far away as Wyoming making the trip. I realize that you have been traveling all over the nation going to watch Brian race this summer, but if you have one more in you it might be fun. There is overnight camping in the pits (with electrical hookups) and we are going to have an inpromptu pancake feed on Saturday morning at the track. This event has been scheduled to bring the fun back into racing, end the season on a high note and have a great time at a great little race track in Redding CA. Some of us will be testing our dirt cars on Friday (so that we can figure out what they are going to do come Saturday). Either way we are there to have some fun and show that we can field a full field of midgets on pavement using just dirt and combo cars. Many of they guys coming are making the trip due to the BCRA rule changes with an emphasis on combo/dirt cars and the fact that there will not longer be testing allowed during the season for any BCRA sanctioned race. Thus if you want to start getting that car dialed in it is a great place to start. Best wishes, Rick |
